Golfing, shopping, hiking, this home has it all close by and is a stylish home that backs up directly to the Phoenix Mountain Preserve. Literally step out the back gate into dozens of miles of trails or just enjoy the sunset over the mountains on the deck, in the pool, or by the fire pit. Multiple golf and shopping malls are within a 15 minute drive as well as other hiking locations. Accommodations here are everything you'd expect and more. WiFi available. Remodeled in the mid 2000s and all new furniture in 2009. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything: pots & pans, blender, spices, utensils, slow cooker, knives, wine glasses, table wear, margarita pitcher and glasses. Towels and linens are supplied as well.
It's a two level house. The main floor has 2 bedrooms, each with a queen bed, and a bath on one side, the living, dining and family rooms/areas in the middle, the kitchen on the opposite side, and the oversized 2 car garage off the laundry room leads to the kitchen. Upstairs is the absolutely huge master bedroom suite, with two walk in closets, two decks (for watching sunrise and sunset), master bath and office area.
Enjoy amazing sunsets on the back patio as the sun sets over the Phoenix Mountain Preserve. Take a hike out the back gate and, when you come back, hop in the pool for a little refresher before lighting up the stainless steel barbecue and the fire pit for an evening of relaxation on the new, plush outdoor furniture.

Health care executive. I grew up outside of Boston and have also lived in Virginia, DC, LA, Seattle, San Francisco, and Phoenix.
Eric Page purchased this house in 2009
I bought this property for the views, the access to the Phoenix Mountain Preserve, and the backyard. I love opening up the back gate and going for runs or mountain bike rides in the preserve and then jumping in the pool when I get back. The pool definitely gets chilly in the winter time but I jump in any time of year, if only briefly.
The backyard is amazing. It was beautifully landscaped when I bought the place and I did a $14K upgrade, adding a fire pit and stainless steel barbecue. I outfitted it with a 12 piece patio furniture set so that it can be enjoyed morning, day and night.
The master bedroom suite is equally good. It's probably 500 sq ft and has both a front and a back deck. The front deck is where we enjoy eating breakfasts and watching the sunrise over the city. The back deck is where we enjoy a glass of wine and watching the sunset over the mountains. It's amazing that the two views can produce such different emotions.
We have recently returned from spending two weeks in this property. The house is lovely - it is in a good location and the backyard is really nice and well laid out.
The inside of the property is just getting a bit 'tired'! For example the sheets on the bed in the master bedroom had holes in and were looking very worn out and in one of the other bedrooms the sheets were the wrong size for the bed. Then there were other little things like not enough glasses.
We also had an ongoing issue with the sun beds by the pool. One of the reasons we chose this property was to relax by the pool and enjoy the backyard against the wonderful backdrop of the mountains. The property accommodates 6 people but there was '1' sun bed! The Property Manager - who we didn't find the most helpful of people to deal with - told us there were 2 sun beds at the property - when there was in fact only 1 and that she would buy 2 more - but these were just simply chairs not sun beds.
These things did not ruin our stay because we loved the house as a whole but with more help from the Manager and maybe even Eric the owner - the house would have been even better!
This house has everything that anyone would want. The backyard is truly amazing. Owner was great to deal with, responded quickly to all questions. Would stay here again with a group as there is lots of space.
My husband and I stayed three wonderful weeks at this beautiful home nestled up to the Phoenix Mountain Preserve. The home is very private, had a very large backyard which includes a very nice pool and outdoor eating area. The property also has a garage, two beautiful decks on the second level with amazing sunsets and views. The property definitely lived up to it's description. The home is within a couple miles of several great restaurants, food and drug stores and a nice sized mall. Scottsdale Quarter is within 15 minutes and offers even more upscale restaurants and a movie house that serves wine and food. We enjoyed each day spent at this home and found ourselves wishing we had booked a longer stay. The owner is wonderful to work with and very helpful. We definitely hope to return in the future.
For me and my wife, this was the perfect winter get-away. We had visits from our adult children and our grandchildren as well as out of state and local guests...everyone enjoyed the house, the beautiful landscaping (the flowers were in bloom) and the pool with its waterfall...and the gas fire pit...and the barbeque! The doors to the pool area are kid safe as long as you make sure they are latched...the pool is not heated but we are used to Lake Michigan so it seemed like home. The rear gate leads to pathways into the Phoenix Mountain Preserve with seemingly endless variations...lots of fun for adults and children alike. We visited Cave Creek and the Lone Spur Ranch for horseback riding, Taliesin West, Phx Botanical Garden, The Cubs spring training, Old Scottsdale for shopping, the Heard Museum...there is much to do and it is easy to get around if you have a car. The few minor problems were handled immediately by Eric. We had a great vacation.
The rental was portrayed accurately on the website and we had everything we needed for a pleasant weekend. The owner was responsive and very helpful with questions. The patio is delightful. I would highly recommend this location.
