Experience an extraordinary lifestyle that only a waterfront home situated on a private beach can deliver. This historic, gracious home is a former lifesaving station built in the 1880s. Enjoy panoramic ocean views from Boston Light to Minot Light on the exclusive Gold Coast of Cohasset. This cherished, custom-renovated family home boasts 5 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, a cozy working fireplace, large eat-in-kitchen and a combination dining room and great room featuring cathedral ceilings with a surrounding wall of picture windows.
With two master bedrooms, this home would be an ideal share for two families. It comes fully stocked with books, games, toys, and three flat screen TVs.
We are a multi-generational family who have been living on the South Shore for nearly one hundred years and loving every minute of it.
After years spent admiring the property's incredible location and amenities, we jumped at the chance to buy it as soon as it came on the market. A custom renovation updated the house with modern conveniences and made sure that this would be a house enjoyed by all ages. Years later, we couldn't be more thrilled with our experience in this house, whether we're leaping down the steps to the ocean during the summer or sitting by the fireplace enjoying a movie during the winter. Besides, the colors of the sunsets over the endless ocean don't fade with the seasons.
This private home is located on the Gold Coast of Cohasset, home to some of the most beautiful ocean-front estates in Massachusetts. With direct acces to a private beach, you'll never want to leave, but if you do, the house is a half-hour walk from the town center of Cohasset. The Town of Cohasset covers a nine square mile area in a setting of colonial homes and ocean vistas of spectacular beauty. The town is about 25 miles from Boston and is easily accessible to the city by commuter rail or ferry boat. Cohasset's central village lies around a picture-perfect (and frequently filmed) common with a small pond, and includes specialty shops, gourmet restaurants and colonial churches. The town has active Community and Arts Centers, three museums and the renowned South Shore Music Circus, as well as the Swim Club, yacht club, two beaches and the recreational facilities of Whitney Woods Reservation and the Wompatuck State Park. The neighboring towns of Hull and Hingham feature a 1928 wooden carousel, two movie theaters, World's End nature preserve and additional shopping and dining destinations.
