This luxury cape contemporary one bedroom apartment centrally located in between de waterkant (v&a waterfront). Walking distance from the new 2010 world cup soccer stadium.

Across the street is the cape quater and the new convention centre and ideal for the business/ holiday/ health-vacation traveller. Offering and abundance of restuarants, cafes, shops, clubs, bars and open up to a beautiful view of table mountain.

The self-catering apartment offers a well appointed open-plan kitchen/dining and lounge area

The kitchen is sleek and uncluttered, fully equipped with modern finishes with an island prep and dining area for easy dining.

The lounge is intimate: floating shelves, stone packed walls which contrast with the black wood and minimalist stainless steel finishes.

There is a sleeper couch in the living room which allows sleeping area for up to 2 more people. The master bedroom has a large wooden sliding door for privacy.

The building has secure front lobby access with fingerprint scanning to enter, secure underground parking if needed, and onsite 24hour security personnel, and key access to the apartment door.

There is a modern elevator that reaches all floors.

There is a wonderful cafe/bakery at the entrance for great early morning coffee, breakfast, snacks and lunch.

Convenient location, ideally situated close to a lot of great attractions

We spent over a month at this location and enjoyed every minute of it. When we first arrived there were a few housekeeping items which needed attention (leaky faucets and a few light bulbs needed replacing) but this was addressed in a timely manner. The apartment is located above a nightclub but the show is over by 9:30pm and it is not very loud. Downstairs there is a lovely bakery and the Spar grocery store is a block away. You can walk to the V and A (a lovely big shopping mall with lots of high end restaurants located on the water) it reminds me of Pier 39 in San Francisco. Towards Green Point there are a lot more restaurants and bars and again you can walk to these. The apartment is well appointed and is very cosy. This was winter and lots of home tend to be quite cold since they do not have central heating. This unit does have heating but we rarely had to use it. The property is located in a mixed use complex and at night most offices are closed so it is very quiet. My husband and I would certainly consider staying here again.

Great location and convenience for tourism

The actual apartment was great for us and our plans. There is a large supermarket a block away and plenty of other stores for all needs. The V&A waterfront is a short walk away also. The location is a fun neighborhood. The restaurant/club on the ground level has some fun evening events and food is ok. Usually all closed down by 11:00pm but the crowd on the street can carry on. When we shut windows, it was very quiet. We live in an urban area so nothing more than we are used to. The building is multi use and most of the floor is offices which meant early starts but most closed by 5:00pm. Had a challenge with security. On arrival, the lift was not working. That was fixed the next day, getting into the second floor required buzzing security. On our last full day, they started just buzzing us thru but the previous days we had to wait for someone to come let us in. As long as the "buzz in" is working, it's great. There is no internet access close by that we found. The bakery on ground floor has a Telekom hot spot but if you don't have a SA mobile, it's not easy to get access. Would definitely consider returning on our next trip.

Almost everything was excellent!

The location of this apartment was perfect. We could walk to almost everything we wanted to in Cape Town, and with the secure underground parking, the rental car was only a few feet away for adventures further afield. The club/bar downstairs, contrary to other reviews was not too loud, and did not go late into the night; everything was wrapped up by 10pm every night. The gentleman that greeted us, Riann, was very friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything. The apartment was exactly as pictured, and was very clean and comfortable. They even came in halfway through our stay and changed the sheets and towels.
The only drawback, and negative thing I have to say about this rental is that the internet, although I was expecting to have to pay, was absurdly expensive for very little usage. On the listing, it says "prepaid internet" which means that you have to pay for it. What I wasn't expecting was to be paying by data, not by time. So, in the end, I paid nearly 1000R for the ability to check less than a minimum of work emails. Except for the convenience of using internet in the evening, I'd recommend going to an internet cafe.
The rest was perfect, and I had no complaints.

Thank you for sharing your vacation rental, I would stay again if I ever come back to Cape Town!

Very nice apartment in a fantastic location

We spent a fantastic week in this apartment in the De Waterkant area. The apartment is nicely decorated, in the perfect location (multiple restaurants and bars are close by, a large Spar supermarket is located across the street, V&A Waterfront only 5 minutes by foot) and very clean. We enjoyed our time here and can fully recommend this apartment

We enjoyed our stay very much. The underground parking is very convenient. It is walking distance from a number of restaurants and clubs so you are spared the hazzle of finding parking. The flat itself is well equiped and very clean. We will definately book it again and recommend it to friends.

great location

Photo's are accurate depiction of the unit. It was very clean and maintained although the washing machine appeared to leak so we were unable to use it. I would stay here again if we returned to Capetown. The one negative, for some people, would be the music from the bar/restaurant (Beefcakes - GLBT oriented - but good food) located almost directly below the unit. It was quite loud and went late a few nights per week, although with the windows closed (or almost closed) the music did not keep us awake. We enjoyed wonderful breakfasts at the bakery/restaurant right outside our front door. We felt safe with the security in the building. The area felt safe as well, but be wary of street people approaching you. Great location and within walking distance of great shopping and restaurants - not too far from the waterfront. But I would mention that it is easy to catch a taxi out front or from the gas station a block away - and taxi travel is VERY reasonable here. Great restaurants just a block away in a mall called the Cape Quarter and next door to that! Free wifi at those restaurants.
