Overview

Krakow Apartment Rental Photos and Description

Beautifully restored apartment, 5 mins from central square, sleeps up to 6.

Stylish, comfortable and very peaceful apartment in a beautifully restored, elegant 19th century building - right in the centre of historic Krakow. Situated on a quiet street (Batorego), with a balcony overlooking large private gardens. Safe residential neighbourhood, but only 5 minutes walk from the city's famous Market Square with all its cafes, restaurants and night life. The building has been lovingly restored to a very high standard, with its stunning 19th century stained glass wooden stairwell, it remains in keeping with the period - a mixture of modern design with a touch of classic charm. Its unusually spacious, light and high-ceilinged rooms have parquet flooring and old ceramic stoves. It's our second home, designed to be functional and comfortable - and is a fully multi-media apartment. This means that wireless is offered free throughout, with our 42" screen offering not just a wide range of international satellite channels, but also all internet channels, and free connectivity to your own devices as well. We have a fully equipped kitchen, central heating, big bathroom and period art deco furniture. Close to a range of local shops and restaurants. And a special treat, a great range of pastries and delicious coffee served very cheap from a little cake shop directly outside our front door.

Why you'd want to stay here? It's a perfect base from which to explore the charm and romance of this fantastic city. Just five minutes walk from the city's central square, the apartment is likewise within ten minutes' walk of most of Krakow's finest restaurants (we can send guests our personal recommendations). We are positioned in a charming 19th century residential street, just beyond the bustle of the centre but still close enough to make everywhere walkable - for instance the city's famous castle and former Royal Palace, Wawel, is just ten minutes away, and just beyond it lies Kazimierz, the famous former Jewish district where Stephen Spielberg filmed parts of 'Schindler's List'. All of the city's other galleries and main monuments are equally close, as well as the bus and rail station. For those wishing to visit the other World Heritage Sites at Auschwitz and the Wieliczka Salt Mines can get there within an hour by taxi.

Just to say a big 'Thank You' for letting us your fantastic apartment. We couldn't believe how great the location was! And just how beautiful Krakow is. All arrangements went very smoothly - it was lovely to be met at the airport. We had a fantastic time, thank you again!

Awesome Old Town apartment in Krakow

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here as a family of 7 and the apartment was very well suited to all of our needs. The rooms are very big and the sleeping arrangements worked out very well. It is very clean and comfortable with a large bathroom. Ed and Anna arranged for a taxi pick up at the airport and it worked out great! It took about 15 minutes to walk to the Market square, but we enjoyed stopping at the bakeries, churches, and ice cream stores along the way! We hope to return soon!

Just Perfect

  • 4 of 5

Just back from a long weekend in Krakow and it most certainly was not long enough, a truly charming city.

The apartment is absolutely perfect, very spacious, with all that you would need for a relaxing holiday. The location couldn't have been better as it is a short walk to the Town Centre, but in a nice quiet area itself, the best of both worlds.

The booking process couldn't have been easier and Ed - owner - kept us informed throughout.

Andrew - his local representative - was on site at the apartment to welcome us and run through all we needed to know. He also gave us some of his own personal recommendations and tips.

Can't wait to return.

Great time in Poland

  • 5 of 5

Loved our time in Krakow and can't wait to come back. The apartment was a great base and the airport transports that were arranged for us were seamless without any problems. Would recommend the apartment to anyone it is ideally located very clean, has everything in it that you would need and is well priced. A mixed group of us stayed there for a long 40th weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Thanks again for renting us your family home in krakow

Owner's Response: Thanks so much for this - not entirely sure who you are because your review is anonymous! But thanks very much anyway. We were in there ourselves this weekend. It's so lovely being there in autumn with all the mushrooms in the market - we returned heavily laden, All the best, Ed.

Lovely apartment, great location

  • 4 of 5

This is a spacious apartment, well furnished and very comfortable, we had a lovely stay here and the location was very good. The street outside appears quite busy but it is very quiet at night and is not on a tram line making it quieter but is only a few minutes walk to a main road and tram line if needed. The main square is less than ten minutes walk away and the walk is pleasant with plenty of shops and coffee shops on the way. The flat itself is nicely decorated to a high standard, the kitchen is fully fitted and the bathroom is large and very nicely finished. The owners were helpful, organised a taxi to and from the airport and we were met at the apartment to be given keys and to be shown around. I would thoroughly recommend Krakow and this is a great apartment in a great location.

Owner's Response: Thank you for a great review. We're glad you found our apartment welcoming and comfortable. As you say, it's very central and yet peaceful and quiet. Check out the funky cafe by the entrance to the apartment block. It replaced the old cake shop we loved but serves good cakes too, and much better coffee! Ed and Anna

Apartment Baterago

  • 4 of 5

We really loved our time in Krakow and staying at the Baterago 6 apartment made it even more special. The apartment was spacious, light and airy, modern fit out, had all the facilities that we needed (wifi, washing machine, dishwasher etc.) and was in a brilliant location. Even though the street could be a bit noisy earlier on in the evening it did get quiet. Just a short walk to the main square (exercise is needed after all those delicious meals) and there is a supermarket on the corner. It is also a short walk to the train station. Andrew was really friendly, helpful and on time. No lift, but on the first floor, so this was not a problem. The review book on the coffee table was a great idea and we found some great restaurants.

Owner's Response: Thank you for a great review. We fell in love with this apartment when we saw it for the first time and it remains our favourite place to stay when we visit Poland. It's so nice to hear that other people like it too. Glad the visitor's book is still there and filling up with new tips on where to go for a good meal. We always read the comments and update our recommendations. Keep them coming!

Our apartment is on the first floor of a beautifully restored, elegant 19th century building - right in the centre of historic Krakow. It is situated on a quiet street (Ul. Batorego), and has its own balcony overlooking large private gardens. And whilst this is an an unusually undisturbed part of the Old Town, it's still only 5 minutes walk from the city's famous Market Square with all its cafes, restaurants and night life. The area is full of shops and restaurants, where you can buy all your groceries and have a bite for lunch. There's a 24-hour deli called Oczko at the end of Batorego Street (turn left when you leave the apartment). And if you need a bank, there's one 3 minutes away - turn right and right again into Lobzowska Street, you'll find it there. And if you decide to travel around the city by tram, there's a stop just at the end of our street on Karmelicka Street. Wawel Castle is about 20 minutes walk through the Market square and the Jewish district a 10 min ride in a cab.
