A group of us, all academics, were in town for a conference at the UT campus and wanted to be in the heart of downtown. There couldn't be a better address than East 4th Street with only a short walk in each direction to 6th Street, West 2nd, the River, Congress- both north and south. In spite of being right downtown, this place felt quiet and residential and retreat-like which was the perfect thing to return to after a day out and about. The place was safe, convenient, welcoming and cozy for our stay. We found everything we needed there and all the rooms and furnishings were clean and well cared for. While we didn't have time for cooking, the kitchen was well appointed and would have been great for preparing meals. The combo living room and dining room, albeit small, served our needs for relaxing and gathering together really well. The condo's interior courtyard and water feature added a nice residential feel whilst the secured parking out back was both convenient and accessible. Having Starbucks across the street made morning coffee easy to come by and Austin's fabulous late March weather made being outside enjoyable throughout our stay. All the arrangements for renting this place came together seamlessly and our expectations were totally met and exceeded. Would definitely return here if a future trip to Austin happens to unfold!
