The unit has a queen size Murphy bed, a modern living area that can be separated from bed with a full length curtain, full bath and small kitchen area. A complete renovation of the property, brand new furnishings, great outdoor space and the proximity to great views, activities and food make this the perfect vacation get away. Enjoy a book on the private outdoor patio or take a bike ride to one of the great restaurants near by.

We are current owners of another VRBO unit (232857) that we renovated in Charleston 3 years ago. With the birth of our first daughter in August we decided that it was time for me to stay home with her and take on a new renovation project for VRBO. We couldn't be happier with the way it has all worked out!

A unique get away in a great location.
Great private outdoor patio!
My stay at Charleston was great! The location of apartment was in walking distance of Shem creek. We could not have found a better place for vacation!! My wife and I are making plans already to stay there again next year.
We were down from NYC for my wife to direct a play in the Piccolo Spoleto festival, traveling with our 12-year-old Italian Greyhound, Luna. We kept the Murphy bed down the whole time for Luna, and still felt like we had plenty of room. The studio's decor is simple but stylish, functional yet comfortable, and relaxingly in keeping with the beachy character of the area. All the amenities are provided for easy living. We especially loved the patio out back, a perfect place for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. The location is also perfect, with a quiet getaway feel, but close to local dining and services (and lovely Shem Creek Park), and an easy drive from downtown Charleston. We felt right at home here, and will have lovely memories of our trip.
As VRBO owners ourselves, my wife and I are very particular about the properties we select when traveling. This location in Charleston is outstanding and has so much to offer. The studio is beautiful and so efficient. Don't let the studio description fool you. It is large and has everything you need. It has a private patio area, and more than enough room for your stay. It even has a Murphy bed which, when folded up, allows a huge space large enough for yoga of other exercise. The furnishings are first rate and the owners couldn't be more accommodating. The instructions are clear and we had no reason to contact the owners, however, they did contact us to insure our comfort and to make certain everything was up to our expectations.
The location is superb. There are so many shops, restaurants, bars and activities within a short drive, or even a comfortable walk, that we couldn't even take advantage of them all. I guess we will just have to return to finish our exploring.
We have stayed at other properties with the same owner and would not hesitate an instant to return to any of their properties.
If you are planning a trip to the Charleston area I strongly recommend contacting these owners. If you are lucky they will have one of their properties available and don't be surprised if you book a return visit while you are there. It is that special.
Wow! Such a pleasant space, my husband and I were fortunate to find for our week long stay in the Shem Creek area. Although we have often stayed in downtown Charleston in another property owned by Kira and Dewey, this was an opportunity to explore another wonderful area. It was immaculate and had everything we needed to make out stay special. The fact that it has a delightful outdoor private patio was a bonus. I enjoyed coffee and a good book out there on several occasions. The Shem Creek walkability factor of this property combined with it's proximity to downtown, is terrific. We enjoyed walking the boardwalk at Shem Creek park, the Shem Creek Bar and Grill, Vickery's, and the Okra Grill as well as shops in the Old Village, and the beach at Sullivan's Island. The nearby plaza has a wonderful wine store. And not far down the road is Southern Seasons, an absolutely incredible store for anyone who enjoys food or cooking. It even offers day classes and wine tastings :-) Didn't get to kayak this time (it's just down the block) but plan to next time! As always, Kira and Dewey were lovely and gracious when it came to answering any questions we had. This was the perfect home base. Loved it! Can't wait to go back.
I had just quit my job and wanted to get away and stay somewhere nice. I was greeted by the owner, who upon arrival was a seemingly nice person. i gave two checks to the owner, one for the rent Agreed upon mutually.
I was given a brief tour and the owner could not tell me how to operate the a/c unit. If you plan on staying there this summer, the ac cannot go below 78 or it will freeze up.
Then the internet did not work for either my studio or the main cottage.
Faults aside I did enjoy the location-the okra grill is recommended.
What set me over the edge was the owner sending me a text stating the garbage disposal didnt work and the couch was scratched.as i had no other information i became upset this was not inspected by the accuser who still had my security deposit, and took two weeks to return it only after i texted her two weeks later.
We stayed 5 nights with our gentle dog. Extremely clean and modern. Bath and shower were spotless. Nice hot shower. With or without a dog a great location to explore not only Mt Pleasant and Sullivan's Island but also easy access to Historic Charleston. Walking distance to many great restaurants and Shem Creek. Safe. We stayed in the Studio.
