Mirror Lake Retreat is the perfect year-round destination to enjoy both a little solitude and easy access to activities and conveniences in the surrounding area. This well-appointed retrofitted barn-style home includes all of the modern amenities - wifi, cable and xbox gaming, but if you would rather disconnect from it all there is a wood stove in the very comfortable family room with a very sleepable pull-out Crate and Barrel couch.

The upstairs is a private master suite with its own balcony overlooking the mountains. The master bathroom includes a spacious two-head walk-in shower and imperial footed bathtub. The bunk bed room sleeps 6 comfortably.

Summer: The property has large fire-pit in the back near by a running creek for storytelling and s'mores. When it's lights out you are presented with a deep view of the starry sky and crisp mountain air, perfect for camping on-site or for the more adventurous, at one of the many campgrounds just minutes up the road. The on-property creek contains plenty of trout, but for those who want a sure thing the Kamas Fish Hatchery is walking distance. They will provide rods and even clean the fish for you while you wait. The entertainment area includes a barbeque for grilling them up for a healthy meal. There are plenty of summer activities in the area, including dozens of hiking and biking trails, canoeing, kayaking, boating and water skiing at the nearby Jordanelle reservoir. Head the other way and you're on the scenic drive to to Mirror Lake, but don't forget to stop at the waterfall!

Winter: This is snowmobiling and snowshoeing country, but several Ski resorts, including the Canyons, Park City and Deer Valley are less than 20 minutes away. The well plowed roads all winter ensure you are never snowed in.

Year-round: Run across the street to the Samak Smokehouse whenever you get a hankering for the best smoked Jerkey and cheeses on the planet. (We've tried quite a few). This place also carries high-quality organics. Our personal favorites are the homemade caramels and pomegranate licorice. And that's not all, just up the street is The Notch Pub, serving delicious Pub Grub and staging live entertainment year-round. www.thenotchpub.com

Quaint Kamas Main street is only 10 minutes away, where you can find melt-in-your mouth pizzas, homeskillet breakfasts, and turn-it-upside-down malts.

We are world travelers who bought the Mirror Lake Retreat as a place we can always go home to. After a lot of time searching through Tahoe and Park City, we finally found 'the one' We loved that it was so central to so many things, convenient yet remote enough to feel like we were truly getting away from it all.

What makes this house unique

The idea of a retrofitted barn wasn't our first choice, but when we actually saw it inside and out, we fell in love with its unique quality, solid craftsmanship, and the firepit and stream! Our family reunions have been pretty fun the past couple of years. We understand that every group has a different idea of what a vacation should be. Actually, sometimes every person in a group has a different idea of what a vacation should be, and this place can cater to all of them.

Mirror Lake Retreat is located in a pristine mountain setting just minutes from the Uinta National Park yet convenient to Park City (15-20 min) skiing, shopping and pampering. It is an excellent year-round location for those who want to get out or just get away.

The renowned Samak Smokehouse is just across the street, providing easy access to excellent mountain treats. The Notch Pub is half a mile away, with delicious food, fun and live entertainment. Fishing is possible in the river on-property, but for a sure thing there is a hatchery less than half a mile away, who will provide a guaranteed catch for the kids. Dozens of hiking trails and snowmobile sites around the property provide endless options for outdoor recreation. The Jordanelle lake, 10 minutes away, is a popular destination for boating and water skiing. The scenic drive up Mirror Lake highway take you past waterfalls, rivers and of course, the scenic Mirror Lake itself.

In town there is a fully equipped recreation center offering daily passes with water slides, a climbing wall, racquetball and more. Local restaurants provide the best comfort food around.

$1,000 security deposit is due at time of reservation. Security deposit will be fully refunded within 2 weeks after stay if no damage is done to the property. Cleaning fee plus total Rental Fee due 2 weeks in advance. Cancellations made with less than 3 weeks notice will forfeit the original security deposit.
Fees And Taxes A Refundable $1,000 Deposit is required upon booking.
A $200 cleaning fee will be added to the total bill.

Just wanted to drop a note to say we had an incredible time at the cabin.
Our stay was amazing. It snowed, the kids got to play in the snow, ski,
and snow board, and we all got to snowmobile. The cabin is beautiful. We
had plenty of room and it was clean and had all the amenities we needed.

My wife and I have already talked about returning next year
