One bedroom apartment for 2 or 3 person in central Rome - Colosseum

One room luxury apartment located just close to the old Basilica San Clemente, in front of Colle Oppio and only 200 mt away from Colosseum and Via dei Fori Imperiali. The recently renewed apartment, works finished in may 2008, is located on the third floor - with a large and comfortable elevator - inside an ancient and historical building of XVII century. The apartment can accommodate up to 3 pax and it's made up of a large room with dining area, a bathroom with shower, and a modern, elegant and fully equipped kitchen. It is provided with a large, precious handmade wood wardrobe, TV, air conditioning, automatic dishwasher, linen and bathrobes, a little microwave to zap simple food.

The flat is also provided with two strong and very comfortable beds, one double and one single, of very high quality. The single bed is a (usually closed) blu bean bag chair, which can be seen on photos near the tv.

A cradle with a proper blanket is also available in the flat for small children.

The flat is also wifi internet connection provided and a small fee per night is due, only if password is requested.

The excellent designed furniture and the excellent location characterize this very elegant apartment. You don't need to take bus or metro or taxi to see all the best sites in Rome. The area all around the flat is full of restaurants, pubs, pizzerias, laundries and every kind of shop. There are also two supermarkets close to the apartment. Metro A line, 'Manzoni' station, is less than 10 minutes (5 - 7 minutes) walking from the flat as well as the B line station 'Colosseo'.

Great location!!

This apartment was in the perfect spot! A few blocks from the Coliseum and Forum but tucked away in a less touristy area. Touristy enough that everyone working in the cafes and restaurants speak English but it doesn't have people outside trying to sell you something on every corner. The main terminal is a 10 minute walk so buses and metro trains are easily accessible for other main tourist attractions. Remo and Carrado were very friendly and helpful. We loved the old building but appreciated the elevator a lot after a day of walking around.

I would recommend to any friend visiting Rome.

Amazing location only yards away from colosseum.

We stayed at this flat with our 2 years old daughter that can be very difficult at times but the apartment settled her very well. It was really a home away from home for our short stay in Rome. The flat itself has high standards with everything and more that you will expect from a holiday rental. Kitchen gave us option to cook if needed( that we did when we decided) to have a lazy night in. Location is superb as its literally yards always from famous colosseum. The metro station connected us to rest of the Rome comfortably. There are many good restaurants, Bars and cafes on doorstep. Last but not least Remo and Corrado made our stay a very comfortable one and we felt very well taken care of.

Great price for Rome

This is a great deal for a clean apartment in Rome. It was close to the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Palastine Hill (two short blocks away), but most everything else requires the bus, subway or a taxi. Too far to walk to the Termini Station - taxi ride is only 7 euros. The neighborhood is great - full of restaurants, bars and shops. We found it noisy at nite, which I'm sure is true of Rome in general.

The pictures and descriptions on the listing are accurate, except it indicates there is a washing machine and there isn't one (not a clothes washing mashine). I brought to the attention of the owner, but I see it hasn't been updated on the listing. He paid for us to have our laundry done nearby, which was appreciated but not as convenient.

After many long days of siteseeing and walking, the elevator was appreciated!

Thank You for your letting us stay in your apartment. We had a great time, were loyal customers of Il Rioni (the restaurant around the corner) (il nome corretto è: "Li Rioni"). If we visit Rome again, we'll definitely contact you again! We slept great, were able to cook some nice food at "home" as well and were happy at our location. Only thing we missed was a waterkettle to make some tea (we now managed with a normal pan). Hope to see you again in the future.
