Blackbeard's Tower is literally just around the corner. Blackbeard was the most famous pirate.
Fox Hill is a 5 minutes' walk down the road. Here you will find a small grocery store. There's a couple of bars down here too. It's a very friendly community with lots of activity, e.g playing dominoes with the locals while listening to great music under the Fig Tree. You would probably enjoy a walk up this road.
Fort Montague is an old pirate fort. This is a few minutes in the car at the Eastern foreshore, right next to the Royal Nassau Sailing Club.
There are fantastic bars which are just 10 minutes by car. Hammerheads and The Green Parrot are two favourites, the atmosphere, music and food are really great. In the same area there are two night clubs with live music, Crazy Johnny's and Waterloo. These are favourites of locals as well.
The closest beach would be at the Montague, a few minutes' drive but better still would be to drive to the world famous Paradise Island which is about 10 minutes away. Here you will find everything: the Casino, gorgeous beaches, all kinds of water sports, golf, shops, fantastic restaurants and night clubs.
