Photos and Description of the Siesta Key vacation house rental
2 bedroom 2 bath canal view half duplex 3 blocks to the beach!

Lovely property situated on a closed canal located in one of Siesta Key's peaceful and secluded neighborhoods just behind Captain Curts and 3 short blocks from Siesta Key's Beach Access #12. Recently renovated and expertly decorated. New comfortable beds, 1 queen and 2 twins. Plush towels and new linens fill the cabinets! Each of the two bedrooms has its own bathroom. The living room is spacious with high ceilings and lots of windows to let in the Florida sunshine. Leather furniture features a pull out sofa bed for guests. This property is a duplex that has plenty of parking, and shared laundry onsite. The rear yard has a large paver patio and is situated on a closed canal where you can paddleboard or kayak. One month minimum stay required.

Why Colleen Finnegan chose Siesta Key

I have always vacationed here as I was growing up. I love the street our home is on, its a great location. When one of the properties came available we did what we had to do to get it. Once we bought it, my wife and I pretty much fixed it up to make it our second home.

What makes this house unique

There is just so much land between the mainland and the Gulf of Mexico. Our little piece of heaven is within walking distance to the beach, restaurants, bars, marina and the post office. We are just south of the south bridge. All the traffic is North of the bridge. It's a more peaceful vacation if I don't have to fight the traffic everyday. If we want to go into the Village of Siesta which the entire island is only 8 miles long, we can take a free taxi (Volkswagon Thing!) that runs 7 days a week. (We tip of course!)

I have nothing but great things to say about this cottage. First, Siesta Key is an amazingly beautiful city. There are endless things to do with never enough time to do it all. The cottage was the icing on the cake for a fantastic week. The place was spotless with plenty of ammentities. The master shower is spacious. There is plenty of drawer and closet space for all of your clothes and personal belongings. The living room is very large with high vaulted ceilings. The house is decorated very nicely as well. The kitchen is all new and very clean. Sun room to the back patio is ideal for a quick lounge and keep beach clothing. The view from the back is very pretty with a canal that screams to be kayaked. Overall, the place is an awesome getaway. Everything is new and clean and is larger than what you originally think. I would recommend it to anyone I know and hope to go back again sooner than later.
Recommended for:  Adventure Seekers, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
