We stayed in this lovely Craftsman cottage for the month of February. This central location was perfect for our needs and we enjoyed exploring San Diego and its surroundings. We were close to Balboa Park and all it has to offer, as well as, Coronado Island, the beaches, golf courses and tennis courts. The accommodation was as promised and the grounds were delightful. We had breakfast outdoors almost every day. Rick accommodated all our needs. Would definitely return.
My husband and I stayed here over the Christmas and New Year holidays, and it was perfect! The house is wonderful. We have always loved the Craftsman style, so this was a fun opportunity to live in one. Rick has provided everything imaginable - even the Christmas tree. The house was the most completely stocked VRBO that we have rented. There wasn't one item that I reached for in the kitchen that wasn't there. The furniture and bed were very comfortable, and the bathroom was beautiful.
Rick had allowed us to bring our dog (I'm not sure that is still the case. We had booked in February for December.), so the park two blocks away was a treat - for her and us. The area has every kind of grocer or restaurant that you could ask for - from Albertsons to Whole Foods and Bread and Cie. And North Park is convenient to all the other wonderful communities in San Diego. If you don't have a car, the bus and UBER are great alternatives.
If you want to live like a local in a diverse, dynamic community, this is the home for you.
We sure picked it! This was a home away from home in a lovely neighbourhood. The house was roomy with a warm feeling to it. Eating breakfast in the sunroom was a perfect start to the day. After a day of sightseeing in this great city, we looked forward to our time in this home. Spending time on the patio was also a pleasure as we were surrounded by hibiscus and roses. Well thought-out supply of everything needed. Rick provided helpful suggestions and information on his web page and whenever we asked. We took the bus everywhere subsequently this North Park gem was perfectly located for us. Highly recommend!
The cottage was very comfortable, we were very pleased with the quality of the property. Everything that was needed was available and the furnishings were very nice. Access to local attractions from the property location was convenient and close. The recommendations on local eateries was appreciated and accurate. We look forward to returning to San Diego and will definitely stay at this property again.
We found this delightful property in 2013 and rented it for 7 weeks and asked if we could come back again this past summer for all of July and August. This cottage is maintained very well. The décor is in keeping with the Craftman's vintage of the property and is very comfortable. The bed is great and the up-dated bath is first class. Friends and family praised the patio, the privacy and the location. It is a home away from home.
Loved, loved, loved this property. The location was perfect! The cottage is so lovely and well stocked. What a comfy bed too! It was nice and quiet too! Rick came by to make sure everything was as per the ad. It was definitely more. It will be our place to stay when we come back!
