This spacious apartment set in the popular resort of the Port of Alcudia. The apartment can be found on the first floor with a communal lift or stairs. It Consists of a lounge / dining / kitchen area with all electric appliances there are large sliding patio doors to the terrace area where you will find a table and chairs for alfresco dining with views overlooking the sea and harbor area. There are two bedrooms one double bedroom with doors leading to the terrace area and again with fantastic views, fancy lying in bed looking out at the med? The second bedroom has bunk beds again with sea views this room is more suited to younger children or young adults although there is no reason why others cannot sleep in there if you your able to climb onto the top bunk, Sofa bed also for 1/2 People. There is a family bathroom with shower and bath, toilet, bidet and sink. The second bathroom consists of a toilet and sink only. Also a utility room off of the kitchen area with washing machine.

Cycling / Golf: Alcudia is the main center for cycling, attracting thousands of cyclists to its bicycle friendly roads with its spectacular scenery. Even the casual cyclist can rent a bike here and enjoy many hours cycling along the specially designated cycle tracks which lie next to many major roads.

Alcanada (Alcudia) is a championship standard 18 hole golf course, with stunning sea views from almost every fairway and is approx 5 min. drive away. Not to be left out, non-players can enjoy a sumptuous lunch from the clubhouse terrace, Alcanada golf course is situated just a short distance from the apartment. Alcanada combines the essential requirements for the creation of a top category golf course, an unrivalled setting and a first rate design. The terrain gently slopes down towards the shoreline, with its pine, olive and oak trees and the mountains of the Sierra de Levante in the background. Alcanada is the only course in Mallorca that is right by the sea. Pollensa Golf club is approx 15 min. away.

Walking / Trekking: Walking / Trekking the north of Mallorca with its vast mountain range is prime walking country. Why not visit Mallorca in Autumn and Spring when the weather is cooler, and ideal for both walking and cycling? Why not walk or cycle around the S'Albufera Nature Park (Alcudia), it is the largest and most important wetland area in the Balearics? The area is a former lagoon separated from the sea by a belt of dunes, which has converted into an extensive flood plain. The Natural Park which stretches across some 1708 hectares of marsh and dune land is a protected conservation region. The area is an internationally protected area for wild birds, and is home to considerable wildlife.

Old historic walled town of Alcudia with amenities is less than a mile away. Alcudia water park is approx half a mile away. Pollensa town with its winding streets, ancient churches and famous 365 steps leading up to one of the many churches also Puig de Maria with years of history can be reached by car/bus, then on foot to the monastery and with breathtaking views approx 20 min. drive/ bus ride away. Can Picafort with its pavement cafes and competition go-carting track approx 15 min. away. Frequent bus service available to all of this places.

It´s a grate apartment, nice and clean with a perfect ocean view, located close to the harbour and restaurants. We have already booked 13 nigths for 2013. We can recommended this place very much.

Excellent holiday apartment.
It looked exactly like the photo's. Very clean and spacious!

Owner was very accommodating as my flight arrived quite late.

Pool is around 200 meters away. It was very nice and quiet with loads of sun beds.
However we rarely used it as the beach was so close.

There is a lidl around 5 min walk away. And several eurospar's within 2 min.

Highly recommended.

EXCELLENT LOCATION

We have stayed in this apartment twice. I cannot think of a better location in Alcudia.The apartment is clean and bright. The airconditioning unit wasn't working in the small bedroom the 1st year we stayed here (2011) and it still wasn't working this Summer! Our daughters didn't seem to mind this...but personally I wouldn't be able to bear it!They just slept with the bedroom door open and the aircon on in the living room.
:ovely to sit on the balcony in the evening watching the world pass by, listening to the music from the restaurant next door. (We loved this!)
Also during the day we could pop up to the apartment for lunch or a break from the sunshine.
Debra was extremely helpful and friendly.
We will definitely stay here when we next visit Alcudia!

Owner's Response: The air conditioning unit in the twin room is not and has never been advertised with this property.
There are two units. Lounge area and the Dbl bedroom area which are advertised.

MALENA APARTMENT - 2010

Apartment was as it appeared from the photos /description. A stone's throw from the lovely beach-no road to cross as it is on the beachfront. Entrance to apartment from rear of the building which is near fairly busy road - but apartment itself is on the front of the building so no traffic noise. Apartment is clean with individual air conditioning units in living area and 2 bedrooms. Hot water plentiful and the small laundry room, with washing machine, within the apartment was useful to "re-process" kids clothes! Kitchen area very small but adequately stocked with cutlery,crockery & utensils. There was no DVD player when we stayed and TV was all in Spanish.Swimming pool is 200m away down street at neighbouring apartment block.
A couple of beach restaurants a few metres from the apartment and then it is a short walk on the beachfront (about 100m) to a very large selection of restaurants and port/marina area where there is always some sort of action/entertainment and some children's activities such as simple funfair rides (carousel, swinging boat etc) and some amusement arcades. Lots of restaurants and shops on main road behind apartment leading into the port area and lots of mini supermarkets- beware to check prices as mark up on imported English and Swedish produce can be significant.Eroski shop across street and turn left and walk about 300m is a bit cheaper- but there is a bigger Eroski about another 0.5km further up same road, past the Burger King,opposite 3 Club Mac hotels which is the best value if you can carry all the things back (or have a hire car).
Restaurant tips:La Gavina(?) blue sign under Chinese- one of the first on main run walking along beachfront towards port: friendly, child friendly and good paella; La Recoleta- up pedestrian back street from marina to town, pass about 6 others and it's on mini crossroads opposite icecream shop.Great steak and Majorcan lamb with rosemary; Dakota Tex Mex-1 street back from beachfront near arcade/shops- a break from eating "local" but very good.
VanRell hire car quite reasonable.Also book event tickets there. Pirates show is a must- a coach journey but good value with food and free sangria /soft drinks included.
Drive all the way to Cala Mondrago in the south - fantastic turquoise water and sandy beach coves. Take mask and snorkel. Also try Cala Agula and other beaches around Cala Ratjada for smaller, pretty beaches.

A GREAT FAMILY APT, FANTASTIC BEACH SIDE LOCATION!

The website really doesn't do this apartment justice! The location is amazing, it's virtually on the beach itself. The views are fantastic and we started each day with breakfast on the huge balcony and ended each day having a drink and watching the world go by from it.
The apartment is ideal for a family of four and has everything you need for your holiday although some of the crockery was a bit dated and a couple of decent mugs would be welcome. On the plus side there is a great expresso coffee maker that we used all the time and the utility room with washing machine was a godsend!

Both bedrooms were great although the a/c didn't work in the bunkbed room but this didn't bother our two boys (7 and 4 yrs) as the apartment was generally cool most of the time anyway. The bunkbed room is bigger than it looks on the website and the bunks themselves were as wide as a normal single bed .......... loads of bedlinen supplied and plenty of storage space in both bedrooms. Two bathrooms were great with plenty of hotwater for 4 consecutive quick showers and again, loads of towels supplied.

We didn't use the dining area in the apartment as we ate on the balcony or ate out. The sitting area was great for our two boys for an hour chill out after a day on the beach as they found the Disney channel in English on the TV, another bonus!

We assumed from the website that the pool was adjacent to the apartment but it belongs to another complex about 300 metres away, no big deal but it is misleading. Also, the main pool is 2 metres deep so beware!!!!!

There's a great restaurant to the right of the apartment (the Mira Blau, we ate there twice) and the evening entertainment they provided was an added bonus on the evenings we had dinner on our balcony (the restaurant to the left was not so good so give it a miss).

Debra recommended the El Cordobero (excuse spelling) steak house across the road, the entrecote and garlic and prawn tagliatelle are the best! San Marcos Restaurant in the Marina was also excellent.

Debra was very helpful and provided a lot of information before we travelled. On Debra's advice we decided not to hire a car but to book a transfer, we used A2B Transfers (£57 return for 4 of us).

Loads of shops, supermarket, restaurants very close by and 20 to 30 minutes walk to the Old Town and the Hydro Water Park.

We highly recommend this apartment for a family beach holiday, we had a fantastic holiday and would definately return to Apt Malena.

IDEAL POSITION

Lovely apartment with lovely views. slightly on the outskirts of the port by some 200metres so nice and quiet. The balcony at night is too die for and to watch the sun rise in the morning is breathtaking. The kids loved the beach and also the park that is there, the swimming pool is very big and lots of FREE sunbeds and small childs pool. Not crowded. Over all we had a great 2 weeks holiday and will definately return. Debra and the owner were great!

GREAT VIEW, RIGHT AT BEACH+CENTER OF P.ALCUDIA

The apartment has a really great view onto the bay of Puerto Alcudia und is right at the beach promenade, with a restaurant to the right and one to the left. The restaurant to the right ( balcony view) had an evening music program between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. while we were there (June) If you want to sit quietly on the balcony in the evening to read a book this is not really possible. If you like to just sit, enjoy the view and watch the people passing by below it is the ideal place. When we were there the Spanish neighbour to the right was very loud between 10 p.m. and 12 p.m. ( gathering all his friends to finally go out in a big group) Going to sleep before 11:30 p.m. was not possible while he was there (4 out of 7 days). A nuisance were the misquitos. You had to be really careful when to open the balcony door and the front door.

For a family of four the bedding is a bid of a problem because the upper bunk bed does not really have a high reiling so that a child can easily fall out at night. We dragged the mattress of the upper bed down to the floor to avoid that. The beds were okay and the equippment in the kitchen as well. For four people one small sofa in the living room is not much space to sit on.

The pool is not right in front of the apartment but 300 metres down the road which was rather a surprise for us since it is not mentioned in the info on the apartment. We never used the pool.

Owner's Response: The apartment is front line with a restaurant / bar some 20 metres from the apartment. This apartment is on the outskirts of the port of alcudia with bars / restaurants etc..There will be noise. The law states that music can be live until 12oclock. People that require a quiet holiday tend to visit rural villas. Unfortunately we have never heard any of our neighbours not many stay there it is their weekend home. Mosquitos in hot countries can be a problem for some people, information is given on insect repelant prior to arrival. The Top bunk bed does have a safety rail higher than the mattress by some 5 inches above, No TOP bunk is recommended for small children. There is a sofa suitable for 3 people and two director chairs. also 4 chairs on the balcony area. We do our best to help everybody who visits our apartment but if nothing is said during their stay then it is difficult to rectify any situations during ones stay!

The apartment is front line to the Port of Alcudia Beach / harbour. This is the largest sandy beaches on the island it also offers a wide range of water sports and great boating trips.

The Bay of Pollensa is approx 5 min. by car or local bus service available just 20 m away from the apartment.

Both beaches offer sunbeds and shade for hire, lots of bars and restaurants to choose from along the beach front. Local shops, restaurants, chemists, banks, supermarkets, post office all can be found within the port area 20mts to access the bus service. Less than a mile away there is a heated indoor swimming pool, gymnasium, tennis, paddle courts Alcudia water park is approx half a mile away.

Local activities include bicycle hire, diving, fishing, golf, horse riding, mountain biking, paragliding, roller blading, sailing, surfing, swimming, tennis, walking, wind-surfing. One of the biggest/fastest go-carting tracks can be found in C'an Picafort .

There is a championship golf courses nearby.

The apartment is on the first floor. There is a lift available for everybody or those less infirm. The apartment is all on the same level making it suitable for all ages and abilities. There is a good sized lawned garden that is communal with a gate leading to the beach. Pool is open during May-October. The pool is not in the ground of the apartment due to it being a very small block. Pool is some 50metres away. There is a private car park. Also a private lock up for bikes, etc..
