Upon arrival at High Life you will be greeted by the staff and given a tour of the 4 bedroom home. The main house offers kitchen, dining, and living rooms, as well as the master wing and one guest suite each having private on suite baths. The connected guest house offers a bar area, sitting library with a collection of great works of literature, one guestroom, one separate bathroom, and one guest suite with on suite bath.
Situated on 30 private acres, this retreat is yours to enjoy and explore. The caretaker, Daniel, will guide you on the property to see the 15+ varieties of fruit trees, escort you though the community garden to view the produce growing from the fertile Jamaican soil and observe the farming techniques used by the resident farmer, and introduce you to Ginger and Daisy, the coveted Donkeys that graze this paradise. If the aesthetics of this landscape aren’t enough, this lush tropical oasis has fragrant blooms year-round.
Enjoy breathtaking sunsets over the Caribbean by the pool and unforgettable sunrises from the upper viewing and tanning platform. In the mornings enjoy a book in the thatched Cliffside Cabana as the country side of the West End comes alive; in the evenings unwind looking to the north to see the famous Negril Lighthouse, the western most point on the island. Spend the day relaxing by the 44,000 gallon swimming pool while listening to the tranquil sound of the cascading fountain, or enjoy a day trip to any of the nearby attractions. High Life is situated just minutes from great restaurants, bars & water activities that dot the West End. Whether you desire peace, quiet and relaxation, or an excursion into the town of Negril or another nearby attraction, High Life has it.
Enjoy your meals prepared onsite by private chef Shane Parkinson. Shane wonderfully showcases the bounty grown on the property at each meal. Meals are traditional Jamaican fare served family style for you and your family/guests enjoyment. You will experience the national dish of Jamaica, Ackee and salt fish, the famed “breadfruit,” curried chicken, and jerk dishes that rival all others. The meals inclusive package includes Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee service each morning along with a platter of local fruits and toast, a Jamaican breakfast served typically mid-morning, refreshing afternoon fruit smoothies, as well as a traditional Jamaican meal each evening. Meals can be enjoyed in any of the four dining areas of your choosing, dining room, observation platform, poolside, or in the Cliffside Cabana. Your onsite caretaker will drive you in your rental car anywhere you desire. Travel to High Life is an easy drive from Montego Bay airport or your caretaker can meet you at the airport and drive you in your rental car. A private tour operator can be arranged for airport pickup/drop-off as well as day excursions to Appleton Estate Jamaican Rum, YS Falls, Black River, or any other areas that may interest you.
