Large, bright, open concept house, with 2 fireplaces, 3 skylights, a queen size bed in each of the 3 bedrooms, plus pullout couches/sofa beds in the 2 living rooms, 2 bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, and linens and towels provided.
Walk to park, subway or just enjoy the outdoor cafes, restaurants and shops on a walk along the Danforth (Greektown/Old Riverdale), into the main downtown core.
I work in education and I also travel frequently.
I bought the house in this area because it is centrally located and situated in a very lively and family oriented neighborhood where people walk around and meet at cafes on a regular basis. The kids go to the park or attend dance, karrati, theater, pottery classes, bowling, etc, all within walking distance.
Lovely place the pictures don't do it justice. It is bigger then the pictures make it look. Well kept everything you need to enjoy a rental. Nice location Quiet neighborhood as well as feeling safe too. I'm a county boy so I never feel safe leaving my auto on the street. There is a garage big enough for a small vehicle. We have A jeep liberty it fit just fine. Close to public transportation too. I'm sure next time we visit Toronto again we will look to rent this place again.
My family and I stayed here at the end of September. There were eight of us in total - four kids and four adults - and we all had a wonderful stay.
The home itself was well suited to a large family as the layout was such that we were able to spread out nicely. The kitchen was small but well equipped and as we really only ate breakfast in the house it was quite adequate.
The house was very clean, the beds were all very comfortable and there was an abundance of towels, face cloths etc...
While the backyard was a little overgrown it was accessible and we were able to sit outside if we wanted. The real treat however was Monarch Park, which was just a few short blocks away. It was large and beautiful with a great fenced playground that the children spent plenty of time in. There were also restaurants and coffee shops and small markets along the Danforth, all within a few minutes walk.
Perhaps best of all however was Andreea. She was always extremely prompt in all of her interactions with us and went above and beyond to accommodate us. She offered recommendations for exploring the neighbourhood and Toronto in general and made us feel very welcome in the home.
I do not hesitate in recommending the home and would certainly stay in it again in the future.
Just finished up a vacation with the family at this house and had a great experience. The owner was very easy to work with and made sure we knew all about the house before we rented it. Once we got there found the walk to the Danforth very enjoyable and used the subway (10 min walk) to get everywhere we wanted to go. The house was great for our family of 4, the kids especially loved all the toys they could play with! Thanks again.
The house is very centrally located, by the famous Greektown/Danforth Blvd, which is an area full of restaurants with outdoor patios, cafes, bars, shops, outdoor fruit/grocery stores, etc and thus a very walkable neighborhood for the locals and the tourists. The neighborhood also includes yoga studios, bowling and pottery classes for kids, a small theater, churches, several schools and 2 parks - Withrow Park and Monarch park. The closest park is Monarch Park which has a swimming pool + wading pool in the summer, a hockey arena in the winter, plus playgrounds in and around the park.
As it is situated by the Greenwood subway station, one could take the subway or just enjoy walking the whole Danforth stretch and crossing the Don River Valley (another park + animal farm there) to get into the inner downtown core area (business district, universities, cinemas, shopping, etc).
