BEAUTIFUL LOG CABIN with HOT TUB overlooking the scenic Broadhead Creek on 2+acres. Trout fishing in your back yard!

Cedar cathedral Ceilings throughout and ceiling fans in all of the rooms.

LIVING ROOM

Fully furnished with DVD, VCR, DVR and WiFi, Wifi compatible flat screen TV, Cathedral ceiling. Stone hearth with thermostat controlled gas stove, converted from coal. There is a library, DVDs and board games for added entertainment.

OPEN PORCHES are great for viewing the stars at night, and the stream during the day. The Hot tub is recessed into one corner, so it is delightfully present, but not overwhelming. Very large Oak and white pine trees abound in the wooded area behind and to the sides of the house. There is a large circular driveway in the front.

I grew up in Pennslyvania and went to PSU for both undergrad and grad school. I've lived in Stroudsburg for the last 25 years as an artist and real estate manager.

Why Kathi, Joanne chose Canadensis

This property has been my retreat for the last 10 years where I go to read, eat, and do my photography. I love to sleep with the windows open and listen to the waterfalls...I have been spending more of my time in New York, so I felt that I should share this lovely place with those who appreciate a touch of nature.

What makes this cabin unique

I have provided lawn chairs, water shoes and rubber boots of all sizes, because I love to place my chair in the creek and I want my friends to be able to join me. Sometimes we find a flat rock and use that as our table for the cheese and crackers. It is a great place for coffee in the morning, and wine in the evening. Both summer and winter, just keep your feet out of the water once you are sitting, otherwise they get cold! I have warmed my toes many times in front of the fire while sitting in the rocking chair.

We had a great girls get away. The house is beautiful and the location is greàt. We were greeted with delicious banana muffins that we all enjoyed. Would definitely recommend this rental for anyone that wants a nice place to stay in the poconos.

Beyond my imagination Surpassing expectations

I cannot express in words the magnitude of satisfaction we felt just pulling up to the driveway. This property was not only pleasant to the eye but also relaxing and peaceful.
From the main area to bedrooms bathrooms fireplace the cozy decor .. The space the amenities inside the hot tub .. Wow!! It was just a weekend if pleasure.
I felt like a kid in a candy store. We never even left-well to get groceries!!
We cooked meals lounged around talked.

This was the best girls getaway weekend ever!!!
I will be going back.

Thanks again for your care and hospitality on our way there and checking in with us by phone to make sure we were all settled!! We didn't wanna leave so yes we will be coming back!

Wonderful Trip

We traveled to the house for just a weekend getaway to celebrate our 30th birthdays. The house was a great size for two couples- and very clean! The kitchen had everything we needed and we were able to cook a full dinner on Friday night. We made great use of the hot tub all three days! We were able to take a hike nearby. We were very close to Skytop and Mt Airy casino- where we went to gamble and get massages! Great house- would definitely stay here again

Beautiful rental property!

We just completed an enjoyable vacation in the the Streamside Log Home retreat. The cabin was as described. The furnishings were beautiful and the cabin is well cared for. We enjoyed the hot tub as well. The home has an excellent entertainment center and were able to watch dozens of channels. The kitchen is modern and clean. All of our questions were quickly answered. We found a place about ten minutes away where we went on a wagon ride with horses through the forest and enjoyed the beautiful snow fall in the woods. The venue for this cabin is gorgeous, and we enjoyed sitting by the fireplace and looking out at the woods and stream. We highly recommend this beautiful property to rent. We would have loved to stay at the cabin for another week!

PERFECT!

Everything in the cabin was perfect!

When we arrived there were moist Banana muffins waiting for us on the counter, which were delicious.

The jacuzzi was large and very clean. It snowed the first night that we were there and the snow created a perfect ambiance for soaking in the jacuzzi and gazing at the beautiful surroundings. The jacuzzi offers a great view of the backyard and the stream. The property is huge so we never had to worry about other people looking at us in the jacuzzi, etc.

The bedrooms were all very clean. The kitchen was great as well. It contained all necessary condiments and seasonings as well as silverware, plates, etc.

The living room was very cozy. It contained a fireplace and a large TV. The TV was HD and has all the sports channel (which we made good use of on Sunday for football!) The fireplace was turned on by a wall switch.

We visited a friend's cabin a few weeks after our stay here. The other cabin was: more expensive, had only 4 TV channels, no jacuzzi, and was fairly close to other houses - and it was MORE expensive. Can't beat the deal at this cabin - we will definitely be returning.

PS: The cabin is extremely versatile. We (all around 23-26 years old) had a blast. But, the relaxing atmosphere at the cabin would also suit people and families of all ages, in my opinion.
