I grew up in Pennslyvania and went to PSU for both undergrad and grad school. I've lived in Stroudsburg for the last 25 years as an artist and real estate manager.
Joanne, Scott purchased this cabin in 1999
This property has been my retreat for the last 10 years where I go to read, eat, and do my photography. I love to sleep with the windows open and listen to the waterfalls...I have been spending more of my time in New York, so I felt that I should share this lovely place with those who appreciate a touch of nature.
I have provided lawn chairs, water shoes and rubber boots of all sizes, because I love to place my chair in the creek and I want my friends to be able to join me. Sometimes we find a flat rock and use that as our table for the cheese and crackers. It is a great place for coffee in the morning, and wine in the evening. Both summer and winter, just keep your feet out of the water once you are sitting, otherwise they get cold! I have warmed my toes many times in front of the fire while sitting in the rocking chair.
This place is exactly how it looks on the pictures. It is clean and very warming when you walk in. We had access to everything in the house. And it is in a great location. If you are looking to get away, this place is a great choice.
I would recommend this cabin to everyone! We did not want to leave. From the gorgeous views of wilderness to snuggling up by the fire we couldn't ask for anything better. Joanne has thought of everything to make sure you have a great trip. Sitting in the hot tub while it snowed and falling asleep at night to the sound of the stream were some of our favorite things. Our dog also had a great vacation! Considering we live in a apartment she was beside her self with all the space. Any questions or concerns I had Joanne was giving me a call back within minutes. She has a gorgeous home. We can not wait to go back!( The town was also very nice and we enjoyed exploring the mountain).
Joanne / Scott -- Thank you for the use of your home. We had a wonderful time and all the amenities we needed for vacation. Our dog loved it too. Although we're tempted to keep good rentals and good owners to ourselves, we would recommend it to anyone who wanted a peacful place to stay. There was plenty of room for four adults and one small dog. We hope to visit again this summer. Thakn you so much!!
my husband, myself and our dog had a perfect weekend. The house was clean, comfortable and cozy. The hot tub overlooking the stream was perfect in morning with coffee and wine in the evening. We couldn't have asked for more, wifi in the house worked perfectly, and the town had all the necessities we needed. We would definitely come back!
This was our second time renting this property and both times were amazing! The cabin is beautifully kept and the property is serene and lovely. My boyfriend and I spent an entire week enjoying the natural beauty of Cresco/Canadensis and soaking up the local culture. Everyone is exceptionally friendly and very accommodating. We brought our dogs which love roaming around the yard during the day and nestling by the fireplace at night. We will be back again, this place has our heart.
"Par Excellence"This was a vacation of a lifetime for me. The house was absolutely perfect; it truly was home away from home! The views of the river from the bedroom and the nature views from the kitchen and living areas were fabulous. I will be returning to this place with out any second thoughts. Guys its a Home Retreat, trust and believe!
