I am a third generation builder of fine homes. My grandfather would have built this craftsman home and it is an honor to be the owner!
Restoring the original style while adding contemporary updates allows my guests to appreciate the history while enjoying all the conveniences of current technology in home design.
I live nearby in a 1907 craftsman home which I recently restored in the historic Leschi neighborhood of Seattle.
Scott Lawrence purchased this house in 2012
I chose Phinney Ridge for the charming quiet neighborhood character and easy access to downtown as well as the popular well established neighborhoods just north of the city. Fremont, Green Lake, Wallingford, Ballard, Queen Anne and the University Of Washington are all close by.
Families visiting their relatives appreciate this convenience as well as visitors who wish to be close to downtown and stay in a quiet, safe location within walking distance of grocery stores, restaurants, and other services.
Spacious multilevel living space with great amenities the whole family can enjoy and the location!

Your home the furnishings and the location was perfect. Our grandson mentioned that he liked this home and wanted to stay!! We had a great time and will keep this VRBO in our favorite list!
The house was great! Well kept and a well stocked kitchen; and laundry. There are restaurants and markets within a mile. The larger market is the farther away. It is very convenient to the excellent public transportation in Seattle. We easily went to many sights in downtown Seattle and the LeMay Car Museum in Tacoma as well. We did not explore the bus system further North beyond our 46th Street stop. The landlord is very nice and responded quickly to any questions or needs that we had.
We (two couples and a tween) spent a week in this house and had a fantastic time. The house was very clean and well appointed. This was our third time renting a house through VRBO, and this kitchen was by far the best. Every utensil imaginable was available, not to mention enough dishes. Also the bedding/linens were very nice quality as well. The location is great -- less than 10 minutes from downtown/waterfront Seattle, near restaurants, stores, etc. The neighborhood was quiet, and the neighbors were friendly. We loved sitting out on the front porch in the morning. The back patio is great too. We enjoyed a BBQ out there one night. Way more relaxing than staying in a hotel.
Just as an FYI if someone is renting the upstairs unit, you can hear them walking around, but not talking, etc. The first few nights there was a small child upstairs and he/she was an early riser.
I have added this listing to my favorites. Would rent again in a heartbeat.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Fremont/Woodland/N. Seattle area. There were 4 of us (two adults, two toddlers) staying in the house for my husband’s work conference at the convention center in downtown Seattle. We were very comfortable in the space, and our twin boys immediately felt at home in the house too.
The house itself was exactly as described. The photos are accurate and the property beautifully kept and decorated. Everything is clean and immaculate. The kitchen was well equipped as we cooked several meals in the house. It has a nice front porch for lounging and a back outdoor space with table/chairs/grill for outdoor meals. Scott even had a pack-n-play, high chair and some toys for small visitors, a nice touch!
The location was perfect with many things to do and places to eat all within a few minutes. We walked to the zoo/Woodland Park in less than a 5 minutes, 10 minutes to the grocery store and places to eat (RockCreek Seafood was so good and Paseo for cuban sandwiches is not to be missed)! Scott also has a great list of nearby restaurants and other attractions too.
Scott was extremely helpful before and during our stay. We look forward to our next visit to Seattle and staying here!
Just finished spending just under a week at the home. We were very satisfied with the cleanliness of the home, the layout and location. Would happily book another stay!
What a great find! Really good location for those that don't mind a little drive to downtown Seattle. Nearby there are lots of really great restaurants and things to do within walking distance if the weather is nice. The home itself was beautiful. Love the old craftsman style. The decor was simple but very nice and comfortable. Loved the white bathrooms, they were so clean! The kitchen had all the amenities you would need for preparing meals. Would love to stay again when it's warmer to utilize the outdoor porch & patio. I would definitely recommend this home and would love to stay again!
Walk a few blocks to Uneedaburger (best burgers in the city!) for a locally brewed tap beer and gourmet menu in upper Fremont. Shop at Marketime Foods on your way back for fresh food, groceries, great takeout, craft beer and wine selections. Pick up a movie rental at Video Isle which specializes in British and American cable TV series as well as all the current popular foreign and American films.
