About Kathleen Shanahan
My name is Kathleen and I am married to a wonderful man, Christian, and we have a daughter by the name of August.
I bought this house 8 years ago, and it was a fixer-upper. I always wanted to live in Cole Valley because it is in the heart of the city as well as very family friendly. We are avid walkers - so being close to so many parks is just amazing.
We are also huge foodies and wine people. We own a second home in Sebastopol, Sonoma County. We would like to rent our home when we are in Sonoma, therefore live between the two locations. When our house is available in San Francisco, we would love for couples, families and/or friends to enjoy it when we are out of town.
Kathleen Shanahan purchased this condo in 1908
Why Kathleen Shanahan chose Cole Valley
Beyond the fact that my home is so central, it is HUGE. Many Edwardian, railroad flats are narrow and long. Our flat is two feet wider than any other property on the street - so nice big rooms and wide hallways.
I truly believe that my house is filled with love. All of my girlfriends that lived with me (when I was also single), all met partners while living in my home and fell in love in my home. Fortunately, I also found my soul mate and we live together with our beautiful child.
The ability to live in the heart of the city, yet feel like I am in a neighborhood is amazing. We call Cole Valley the 'town.' People that live in Cole Valley are mostly owners, not short-term transplants, creating a nice community.
