Overview

Honeoye Cabin Rental Photos and Description

One Bedroom Loft With Amazing Views

Deep in the woods on 38 private acres, only one mile from Bristol Mountain. Be as secluded as you want or as connected as you want with Wi-Fi, HD cable TV and excellent cell phone coverage. The only other property on our 38 acres, is our Bristol Cabin, also available on VRBO (#484719). The two cabins are 200 - 300 yards apart, and not in sight of each other.

During the winter months, you really need a four wheel drive vehicle if it is snowy or icy The driveway gets plowed, but that doesn't always eliminate slippery spots if it stays below freezing. The driveway is very long with hills. If you come in a two wheel drive vehicle and it is snowy or icy, your chances of getting all the way up are 50/50.

Suitability:
  • Minimum Age Limit for Renters
  • children welcome
  • non smoking only
  • pets considered
  • wheelchair inaccessible

About Jeff or Mary Jane Jones

My wife Mary Jane (MJ) and I and our three grown children (Sarah, Ben and Tim) are an adventure family. We sail, ski, bike, hike and more. We have lived in many different parts of the country and love Rochester's proximity to the great lakes, the finger lakes and the Bristol hills. We couldn't ask for more things to do in all seasons.

Jeff or Mary Jane Jones purchased this cabin in 2006

Why Jeff or Mary Jane Jones chose Honeoye

This property, nestled on 38 private acres in the heart of the Bristol Hills, is just a 'different world' for us. Only 35 minutes away from our primary residence in Victor, NY, we come to the Bristol Hills often, whenever we need to get away, relax and have fun.

What makes this cabin unique

There are beautiful views in all directions and from every window. Peaceful, quiet and always a ton of things to do while enjoying nature. Only a short drive to Canadaigua, Naples and Rochester, NY.

A Frame is A Mazing

  • 5 of 5

We just checked out of the A Frame and did it with heavy hearts. This is the second time we have stayed in the A Frame and to us it's " our little place " our getaway. There is something so charming and magical about the place we always have an unforgettable time. The hikes, enjoying the fire place and fire pit, the nature and wonderful property. We all enjoy the A Frame especially our 2 little dogs. Thank you and we will definitely be back.

Charming Rustic Getaway with Modern Day Ammenities

  • 5 of 5

My party of 4 including my wife, sister-in-law and brother loved our 2 night stay in this rustic A-Frame, with all of the necessary modern amenities. Being 1 mile from Bristol Ski Resort, and a short trip to Canandaigua...the location could not be more ideal. The A-Frame was well taken care of and decorated carefully to give it a well-rounded theme. There were plenty of places to sit while relaxing and eating. All utensils and cookware were clean and provided for and as was ample clean bedding for the full size bed and queen pull out. A large flat screen TV with cable, DVD player, and High Speed WiFi were easy to use for research and an evening movie. We would definitely come back during summer or winter months for another excursion. Thank you very much Joe and MJ for letting us stay in your home. The bottle of wine was very welcoming. Thanks for everything.

AWD or 4WD is definitely necessary in winter months as stated in the description, but the road up to the cabin was freshly plowed upon arrival.

Lovely Valentine's Day Weekend

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful cabin with a beautiful property. Very homey and comfortable. Owners were very informative about attractions in the area and helpful with the stay. Even though it was super cold and snowy all weekend, we had a fabulous time. Will definitely come back in the summertime!!

Cozy and quiet weekend away

  • 5 of 5

We loved this house. Beautifully built. It was cozy and quiet. We spent the days just watching movies, cooking and talking. We had intended to hike but ended up spending the entire weekend inside curled up by the fire. Would definitely stay here again! Thanks for the bottle of wine also!

Notes:
The A-Frame was built in the 1940's. We fell in love with the building, it's contents and the location and purchased it in 2006. As our budget allowed, we restored the building, including a new metal roof, all new windows, new floor, new fireplace and heat, etc. Our goal was to maintain as much of the historic style, contents and ruggedness as possible, while restoring the basic structure. We finally completed renovation during 2012 and listed the property as a vacation rental in the fourth quarter of the year. It was a long road, but is now beautiful and functional. You won't be disappointed!
