4th Arrondissement Pompidou Le Marais Studio Rental Photos and Description

Luxurious studio apartment in the heart of Paris

Located in the heart of the charming and fashionable Marais neighorhood (4th arrondissement) in the center of Paris, this fully renovated and beautifully maintained apartment possesses the perfect balance of historic beauty combined with high-tech modern conveniences: from ultra high-speed fiber optic WIFI Internet, to a state-of-the-art Miele clothes washer and dryer. Ideal for couples, individuals, or a couple of friends who want to spend the perfect holiday in an authentically Parisian apartment without sacrificing any modern comforts, this apartment is a luxurious and incredibly comfortable haven in the heart of one of the most desirable and safe neighborhoods to be in. Located on the top floor (6th floor) with an elevator to the 5th floor and then one easy flight of stairs, this apartment affords sweeping views over the iconic rooftops of Paris, including a view of the Eiffel Tower in the distance. Foodies will fall in love with the array of eateries surrounding the apartment and some of the best restaurants in the city, and those with a taste for fashion will find themselves in the middle of a seemingly unending labyrinth of designer boutiques mixed among high fashion shops and art galleries.

LOCATION: As a resident of a centuries-old building on a beautiful winding granite cobbled street, which even by Parisian high standards is considered a particularly beautiful and charming street, you will have museums, art galleries, incredible food and the latest in fashion at your doorstep. It is also just steps away from the beautiful Place des Vosges, numerous museums, parks and the river quays for romantic walks along the Seine. Additionally, the shops and restaurants in this neighborhood have the unique distinction of being open on Sundays, a rarity in Paris, which gives you the convenience of having everything you need available to you 7 days a week. The neighborhood is so popular on Sundays that the streets are closed off to cars and the area becomes a pedestrian zone for the day.

SLEEPING: Fall asleep on the highest quality mattress and crisp white pressed linens that ensure very restful nights. There are two sleeping areas: the loft space with a 140cm x 200cm bed (larger than a US full size bed) and a sofabed that amazes guests with its comfortable and incredibly firm full-size mattress that is 160cm x 200cm (also larger than a US queen size bed). The large skylights and southern exposure fill the apartment with natural light year-round, while the remote-controlled electric skylight shades allow you to sleep late or go to bed early if you need to transition to the time change; this is particularly useful in the summer when it can be light out until as late as 11:00pm! Fall asleep looking into the Paris sky, watching the beam of the Eiffel tower brush the clouds overhead, or on a clear night looking up at the stars.

* 2 guests are asked to use 1 bed. If 2 guests would like to use separate beds, please indicate 3 guests when making the booking.

EATING: A white stone countertop and white glass cabinets conceal a full service kitchen that is ideal for picking up food at local markets and at nearby bakeries, cheese, chocolate and wine shops and enjoying in the apartment. The kitchen includes a dishwasher, oven-microwave, cooktop, and built-in aeration hood and lighting. A short walk from one of the biggest open-air food markets in Paris at the nearby Bastille, foodies will find themselves in culinary heaven with both internationally lauded haute-cuisine, as well as up and coming restaurants and bistrots surrounding the apartment.

About Michael

I fell in love with this property because of its incredible location in the heart of the city on a beautifully picturesque street, combined with the historic charm of the surrounding Marais neighborhood (with its famous food and fashion boutiques and museums). Add to that the fact that there is an elevator (only 1 in 200 buildings in this historic area have elevators) and that it has sweeping views over the city, this is truly a special place.

Why Michael chose 4th Arrondissement Pompidou Le Marais

Location. Surrounded by museums, incredible food, fashion boutiques, and quintessential old-world charm.

Beautiful, romantic stay

  • 5 of 5

We had a fabulous stay at Michael's flat. The space is beautiful, and exactly as the photos show it---exposed beams, beautiful tiled floors, views of the Eiffel Tower peeking above old rooftops, a small, but smart and tidy kitchen. The building itself is beautiful, with a stone courtyard. Michael left no stone unturned in curating a comfortable stay for his guests. He greeted us with flowers and a bottle of wine, and walked us through all aspects of the apartment. He provided a map and guide to the neighborhood, with groceries and suggested restaurants noted. The apartment was very clean, quiet, and private.

The location couldn't be better---it's a short walk from the metro, and there is no shortage of foods to try and things to see in the neighborhood alone.

We hope to make it back to Paris soon, and would stay again in a heartbeat.

When in Paris, stay at this charming jewel of an apartment!

  • 5 of 5

Nestled in the glorious Marais neighborhood, this beautiful gem of an apartment was ideally located to the sights of Paris -- in walking distance to most and very close to the Metro for destinations further afield. The apartment itself was a haven to come back to - beautifully maintained with a modern kitchen with all amenities including a Nespresso machine - a modern bathroom with a great shower and a heated towel rack - and we were greeted with a bottle of wine and fresh flowers upon our arrival. The owner Michael made us feel welcome and special. There were three of us and we used the sleeping loft and pull out sofa and slept very well and never felt cramped. I loved every moment there and would come back in a heartbeat!

delightful, comfortable, oh-so-well-designed and equipped studio with a view

  • 5 of 5

I cannot say enough good things about this apartment (and its friendly and helpful owner), and would not hesitate to stay there again on my next trip to Paris. I selected this apartment because of the array of wonderful amenities, its location, and the rooftop view, as well as the glowing reviews by other travelers, and was not disappointed. There are so many thoughtful touches within this apartment. The sleek and well-equipped kitchenette (complete with Nespresso machine), heated towel rack, sizeable tiled shower, Miele washer and dryer, very comfortable sofa bed with ample room for two, high-quality linens, a hairdryer, a power strip with US outlets for charging batteries, and a host of other details made for a very comfortable stay. The apartment was very clean and in an excellent location for tourists. Owner Michael was so helpful, providing detailed information on everything within the apartment (as well as recommendations for the surrounding neighborhood including printed guides within the apartment), and kindly arranged for return taxi service to the airport for our morning departure.

The windows and natural lighting in this apartment are especially nice: two skylights that let in the sunshine, yet can be full closed off, a bathroom window that can be opened for ventilation with privacy, as well as more widely for a cross-breeze, and a south-southwest-facing window in the main room that overlooks charming Marais rooftops - lots of terra cotta chimney pots and patinaed copper and one morning, even an iconic black cat sunbathing a rooftop across the street. Watching the morning light change over the Marais rooftops and chimney pots was an enchanting way to start each day, and I also loved the silhouetted skylight against the subtle glow from the city at night (and yes, La Tour Eiffel, off in the distance to the far right).

Paris apartment ... could not have been more perfect

  • 5 of 5

Our stay in Paris was wonderfully enhanced by this lovely apartment on the top floor of a cozy building on a cobblestoned, landscaped small street in the Marais ... with a view of the Eiffel Tower ... it could not have been more perfect. We found nothing lacking in the booking and communication with Michael, the owner ... very accommodating to our schedule. The apartment was clean and well maintained with many nice details which made our stay enjoyable, such as the modern bath and galley kitchen ... (loved the Nespresso each morning) ... the comfortable sofabed, windows that allowed a nice breeze through the apartment, and of course the eclectic mix of a modern space with classic touches such as mirrors throughout and the antique armoir ... beautiful and functional. We found the Marais location to be convenient to transportation to major Paris sites. The street, with numerous small shops and cafes, was busy ... so it was easy and fun to immerse ourselves into the culture of this Paris arrondissement. We felt safe, even returning at night. We would not hesitate to book this apartment on a future visit.

Celebration in Paris

  • 5 of 5

Our studio was outstanding! We were met by Laurent who showed us the ins and outs of the studio. A nice bottle of wine and flowers greeted us as well. We absolutely loved the neighborhood that provided great eateries and shopping along with being quiet at night.

The studio is very clean and the pull out is comfortable. We stayed for seven nights so we had use of the washer/dryer which made it great as we continued our travels for an additional week. We would definitely stay here again.

The apartment is located in the heart of the city, in the Marais, which is the oldest and best preserved neighborhood in Paris (the street the apartment is on was created in the 1100s and is one of the most beautiful in the city, paved in granite, and lined with 19th century street lamps). The surrounding area is full of restaurants, art galleries, and high-fashion shopping. The apartment is within walking distance of numerous museums and monuments, including the Picasso Museum, the Carnavalet Museum (the museum of the history of Paris), the beautiful place des Vosges, Notre Dame Cathedral, and numerous others. Additionally, it is only a 2 minute walk from the apartment to the St. Paul metro station, which is on the high-speed modern automated Line 1 (the yellow line) that goes right through the heart of the city directly to numerous monuments and sites, such as the Musée du Louvre and Arc de Triomphe.
