Overview of french quarter ('vieux carre'):

The french quarter, also known as the vieux carré, is the oldest neighborhood in the city of new orleans. When new orleans (la nouvelle-orléans in french) was founded in 1718 by jean-baptiste le moyne de bienville, the city was originally centered on the french quarter, or the vieux carré ('old square' in french) as it was known then. While the area is still referred to as the vieux carré by some, it is more commonly known as the french quarter today, or simply 'the quarter.' the district as a whole is a national historic landmark, and contains numerous individual historic buildings. It was affected relatively lightly by hurricane Katrina in 2005, as compared to other areas of the city and the greater region. Near Louis Armstrong New Orleans international airport, Amtrak station, bar/pub.

Why Leasing Agent chose French Quarter

LOCATION! I can't say it enough. This place is in the heart of all the action. You'll love it.

Unlike most French Quarter apartments, the layout of this one is nice and open. The kitchen opens up to the living space and feels open and airy. The bedrooms are independently accessible as well as the bathrooms.

What makes this apartment unique

On a good day, you'll watch a parade pass by, a brass band getting down or a second-line stroll by. At a bare minimum, you'll enjoy street performers entertaining and playing music all around.

This property features an incredible plush COURTYARD, which is great for entertaining or simply relaxing. Nice tables and chairs for everyone to enjoy.

BBQ pits and ice chests for communal use.

Crawfish boiling equipment available on request.

Bike rack in the rear.

This property has a quaint STAGE/ALTER set up in the rear courtyard.

Have a special occasion? This place is perfect to celebrate.

I also am willing to stock your fridge/bar with items of your choosing, for a small fee.

Perfect Spot in the French Quarter

  • 5 of 5

My younger brother had his bachelor party in New Orleans and we chose this great place in the French Quarter to reside. It was close to everything that is great about the French Quarter. It was right next to the french market which is wonderful (get the aligator on a stick). Right down the street is Cafe Du monde which is the coolest place to have breakfast besides the magnolia grill. I could go on and on but I'll just some it up by saying that for a group of 10 guys it was a wonderful place to rest after drinking, eating, and sightseeing!!!!! I certainly would stay here again.

Perfect Bachelor Party Spot

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here with 11 guys for my bachelor party and it was the perfect spot. Everyone had their own bed, and assuming a couple people crash on the couch you can fit 15 comfortably without having to double-up in beds. We also had 10 other guys staying in various hotels and we were all able to congregate in the common area which was great.

Owner and managers were really chill and easy to deal with. Only suggestion with the house would be to maybe bring your own towel, they run out quickly when you have to constantly wash filth off your feet because you got drunk and lost your shoes.

Location is awesome, short walk to Frenchman and Bourbon St, but I'd recommend staying local as well, Decatur is fun. Go to the Abbey and talk to Curtis, he'll set you straight.

I'd give it 6 stars if I could.

Run the other WAY!!!

  • 1 of 5

This property needs so much work. During my stay the biggest disappointment was the four flights of stairs and no elevator. The water for the shower was very disappointing. The upstairs bathroom shower could/would not run at the same time as the downstairs shower. The water would only drip out causing more frustrations. The mattresses are very old and need to be updated as well. The sheets, comforters, and towels were dollar store grade. Overall I was extremely disappointed because for the price of this property it would be better to just book a hotel. I would just advise anyone to look elsewhere.

Simply Amazing

  • 5 of 5

Myself and 12 other guys just got back from our trip to NOLA for a bachelor party. This was the PERFECT place to stay. Location could not have been better, located right in the French Quarter, less than a mile from the casino and only blocks away from infamous Bourbon Street. The property was great and exactly what we needed. Plenty of beds, open space to congregate, etc... Additionally, we felt very safe where we were staying. The owner and property manager were very easy to work with, and very accommodating. I will definitely be coming back and staying here again, and would recommend anyone with a group going to New Orleans to book this place.

Epic Bachelorette Weekend!

  • 5 of 5

I booked this unit for my sister's bachelorette party over Memorial Day weekend. I was extremely nervous finding and booking from an online listing for such a heavily vacationed area - you never know how legit the place really is - but I cannot say enough how absolutely PERFECT this place was for our group. Open floor plan, lots of beds, private balcony and all right in the heart of where we wanted to be! Perfect walking distance to the market, Bourbon St, Frenchman St and Jackson Square. Our group is still raving about the trip 3 weeks later and already talked about going back for a reunion trip! Agent and owner were both extremely helpful and professional and I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Perfect Location For A Bachelor Party

  • 5 of 5

This is just about everything you could want for a large party. Fantastic location, very close to bars, restaurants and shops. Clean and a good size. The management and owner were very responsive and flexible as we had multiple changes to the size of our group. No issues with neighbors or anything like that. A/C worked to the point where it may have gotten a little too cold, a plus in the humidity and heat! All in all, I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting a reasonably priced option that is close to everything you're looking for in New Orleans.
