2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath UPSTAIRS Guest quarters. Top floor of our home

Two story log home with top floor reserved as a guest paradise. Two bedrooms, one bath plus sitting area with spectacular views of mt. Redoubt and cook inlet. Sleeps up to five people. One bedroom is a queen which will comfortably sleep two people and the second bedroom is equipped with two xl twin beds plus a regular twin trundle. This room could sleep up to three people. You may rent one or both rooms. The guest quarters is the top floor of our home.

About Tammy

Bob and I (Tammy) are both retired school teachers. Bob taught school and coached wrestling at a small junior college in Northern Oklahoma. He has come into contact with many people during his career and seems to run into people who know him everywhere we go. Even here in alaska! We seem to have quite a bit in common and one of those things is the love for the state of alaska. We love it so much here that we purchased property a few years ago so that we would have a place... An awesome place... To park our camper in the summer to enjoy all of the Kenai Peninsula activities. We made sure the location was right in the big middle of all of the action so that we were sure not to miss anything. Halibut fishing, salmon fishing, clamming, beach combing, critter watching (love moose), resting, and of course, absorbing an incredible view of mt. Redoubt and Cook Inlet in our view. With all of this in mind we knew that we would build a cabin someday. Well, the 'cabin' became a house because we decided that we wanted to share with others! We are so excited to share our place, meet new people and give any suggestions or advice that you may want. I have been an Alaskan tour guide for a few years so happen to know all the way from Fairbanks to Denali to Talkeetna to Anchorage to Girdwood to Seward to Cooper Landing to Sterling to Soldotna to Kasilof to Clam Gulch to Ninilchik to Homer quite well. Bob, on the other hand, specializes soley on the Kenai Peninsula where he continues to put food on the table, kick back, relax and enjoy life. Life is good!

Why Tammy chose Clam Gulch

Our property is about 25 miles south of soldotna where the famous kenai river is and about 40 miles north of homer where we often enjoy day trips. We are about 5 minutes from clam gulch beach for clamming and about 15 minutes from ninilchik (deep creek) where many halibut charters go out and eagles galore. We also clam at ninilchik beach for huge razor clams that are so delicious. The view from our property is incredible looking out to mt. Redoubt and cook inlet in the distance. Our home is about a quarter mile off of sterling highway and we have no neighbors close by! Even in the middle of a busy salmon run and you can barely drive your car down the road in soldotna, arriving back to our house in the evening brings peace, quiet and solitude. A little piece of heaven.

Our house is brand new and beautiful. The bottom floor is all that bob and i require with a master bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living when we are even there and the private upstairs living space is saved for our special guests. Two bedrooms, one bath, open sitting area with a beautiful view. The guest rooms sleep a total of five people. We have one room with a queen bed and one room with two xl twins (for tall folks) plus one of the xl twins with a trundle which is a regular length twin. Check the pictures. The entire upstairs belongs to the guests! We also have a firepit for guests to enjoy. We usually have marshmallows on hand to roast and always enjoy hearing fishing stories of the day.

What makes this house unique

There are no neighbors or rentals close by so when you are at the house you get the peace and quiet you deserve.

You may rent either 1 or 2 bedrooms.

The perfect house, view and owners to compliment your alaskan vacation

I stayed with Tammy and Bob for the weekend while I was down on the Kenai for a road race this fall. Their house is absolutely gorgeous (the kind I picture my dream house looking like) and we had so much fun sitting around the fire at night, watching Reboubt (volcano) out the living room window, and exploring the area. The beds are so comfortable I took a nap at 3 in the afternoon!! I highly recommend staying here as you will love the privacy away from the busy hotels in Soldotna but access to everything that makes this state so wonderful.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
