Welcome to Sparrow Song - our new house on Cape Cod that we hope you enjoy as much as we do. We believe that this is the perfect Cape Cod beach house. Just a 3 minute walk leads you to one of the best bay beaches on the Cape where you have your choice of a seemingly private beach that gets larger or smaller with the tide, or the public area which always has a beach regardless of the tide. There are several large ponds in the area, and the ocean beaches are a short convenient drive away. The Cape Cod bike trail is a short bike ride from the house.
The house is a ranch style, so all rooms are on one floor, but spacious and spread out. There is a great room den, eating area, living room, 3 large bedrooms, kitchen, 2 full bathrooms, and an unfinished basement with a ping pong table, foosball table, couch and cable TV. There are a total of 4 cable TV's thoughout the house.
There is a large deck with a sitting and eating area, and a screened porch with a sitting and eating area. The house has an enclosed outdoor shower, BBQ-grill, washer & dryer, microwave, coffeemaker, cable TV, VCR and DVD players, hugh speed internet, no pets and no smoking. The backyard is very large and level, and perfect for family outdoor activities.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need from the toaster oven to the lobster pot. There are 3 window air conditioners that cool the entire house, and the kitchen, den and 3 bedrooms have ceiling fans. Two of the bedrooms have queen size beds, and one room has 3 twin beds. There is high speed wireless for your laptop, and a desk for those who don't know how not to work in paradise. Pillows, mattress pads and blankets are provided, but remember to bring your own sheets, pillow cases and towels.
If you want to try other beaches, you can purchase a beach sticker and have access to the following Eastham beaches, all a short drive from the house: First Encounter, Great Pond, Thumpertown, Cooks Brook, Sunken Meadow, Cole Road, Herring Pond, Boat Meadow, Nauset Light, and Coast Guard.
It is such a pleasure renting a house a few minutes walk from the beach. No more wasting time packing the car and making lunches, snacks and drinks for the beach, because when you want something to eat, you just walk back to the house. No more waiting in line at the beach parking lot hoping that someone will leave. No more ruined beach days when someone in your party sleeps late, or wants to leave the beach early. And, at the end of each day, you can stroll down to the beach and see the most spectacular sunset that Cape Cod has to offer.
