The studio apartment was clean, bright and well-ventilated, with windows on three sides (the air conditioning also worked well.) The king bed was exceptionally comfortable. The practically private beach was just a very short walk away, but whenever it was not raining, we were doing something else and didn't get to spend time there. The hosts (including Oreo, a very friendly dog) were gracious and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay! Clean, simple, comfortable and nice amenities. Enjoyed being able to hear the waves and the short walk to the beach was easy to walk! Nice location, 20 to 30 minutes from Waikiki and downtown Honolulu and other beaches. Recommend the pill box trail hike in the southern part of Kailua as the view is quite breath taking. Enjoy!

Our experience at Kailua by the Sea was amazing! The owners were friendly, helpful and willing to share their knowledge of local places to visit. The property was spotless and well maintained with many touches that made it feel like a home away from home. The photos don't do it justice. We would highly recommend Kailua by the Sea and look forward to staying again. Thank you for helping make our stay memorable!

Kailua by the Sea was a wonderful place to stay. I very much enjoyed my trip and would have liked to stay longer. The studio was impeccably clean, the bed very comfortable, and the homeowners kind and accommodating. The pictures are accurate of the location and space (very roomy studio) with a relaxing atmosphere. The owners were available for questions/issues and yet not intrusive at all.
The ocean truly is only a couple of blocks away and it was very nice to have beach chairs, towels, and an umbrella to take along.
I stayed for a girls’ relaxing weekend away, but I think this would also be a perfect place for a romantic get-away. I would love to come back sometime with my kids or for some me time!
I would definitely recommend this place for other travelers. It is on the second floor, as the description states, so if stairs are an issue it wouldn't work, but I loved it!

We had a great 10 day stay at this studio apartment with extremely close proximity to both the beach and town. The beach was a short walk away which we visited everyday. Great for morning runs or sunset strolls. The beach itself is very quiet and dog friendly. The town offered great meals at reasonable prices. We were able to find everything that we needed in town at the many grocery stores, shops and flea market. We enjoyed eating breakfast and lunch in the studio every day and venturing into town for great dining for our evenings.
Our accomodations were exactly as described with many extras. The king size bed was very comfortable and the room itself was spaceous, clean and welcoming. Many extras were included as they provided beach towels, chairs, wet/dry pack and cooler for excursions. THis studio had everything that we needed and then some.
Lastly, the owners were very friendly and accomodating with local information, suggestions and requests. We would definately return to this studio on our next trip to Oahu.
