Location, location, location! Plus comfort, privacy, security, and your own pool located in a magical neighborhood just 15 minutes outside of Center City Philadelphia.
Easy access to all the best that Philadelphia has to offer, yet complete privacy, serenity, and freedom during your stay! THREE NIGHT MINIMUM.
Our stay was wonderful! We booked this house because it was close to my daughter's apartment. She wouldn't have room for both her dad and I to eat at her place and her kitchen isn't big enough to cook a Thanksgiving meal for all of us so this place was perfect. The kitchen had everything we needed and the separate dining area was really nice. We did a lot of touring from this location too. Nothing could have made it any more delightful than it already was.
The bonus was the peace and quiet and privacy of the location. We enjoy that in the mountains of Colorado and were so happy to have that there too.
Thank you for everything!
My mom and I stayed here 4 nights and it was an excellent choice for visiting Philadelphia! The grounds are beautiful, the house was spacious, and included everything as described. The property and cottage was very well maintained and the owner was very nice, helpful, and gave us privacy. The rental sits back from the main house and is very picturesque! The cost was very affordable. Great for couples, families, girls/guys weekends. The only drawbacks: no tub in the bathroom, shower only (no big deal), slight musty smell when entering (however, homeowner was out of town for 2 weeks just before we checked in), and the home is not handicap accessible (which would be important if I wanted to stay again and bring my husband). Very easy/close drive to the train station in Narberth to take the train into the city (if you want to avoid Philly driving/parking). If you do want to drive into the city, it is about 8 miles outside of Philly. If you do not have a car, you will need to take a taxi (bus?) to/from the train station to the cottage. Very nice neighborhood, quiet, peaceful. Several areas set up for outside sitting/dining. Nice porch on the second floor, too. All the comforts of home were available. Don't buy detergent/dryer sheets for laundry, as there was plenty available. Good selection of shampoos and soaps, left from other guests. There was a hairdryer available, too. So much more to say in a positive light! Highly Recommend!!!!!
My wife and I stayed at the cottage for ten nights recently. It is lovely, quiet, clean, well maintained, and very private and comfortable. The owner's garden is beautiful, We enjoyed breakfasts around the patio table every morning. The swimming pool is clean and was really enjoyed during the extended hot and humid spell most of our stay. The only down side is that this part of the Philly suburbs is a total Cellular Phone dead zone (ATT for sure). Countering that, the cottage was excellent WiFi, including a hands free phone on a private web or land line. Face Time worked fine, and plenty of bandwidth for streaming.
This place is amazing. I loved the place even though I was here working during the US Open.
The cottage is a great place to recharge your soul. Set at the back of the property, you will enjoy peace and privacy among an acre of gardens. The cottage is very nicely done and has everything you need to enjoy the visit. The hosts are very accommodating and made the stay very enjoyable. I only wish we were coming back every year.
And don't forget about the pool. Although we did not use it once, everything is there for you to enjoy.
I stayed here with my wife and 2 children (3 & 6) when we were visiting relatives in Bryn Mawr. The cottage is older, but it has some neat character. We stayed in the large bed upstairs while the kids slept downstairs on the couches. We cooked breakfast at the cottage and found adequate supplies for typical breakfast needs. The owner lives in the main house on the property, but gave us plenty of privacy. She was pleasant to deal with.
We would stay here again if we were down visiting, as I think it is a good value.
We had a wonderful time at this gorgeous cottage in Penn Valley. Margaret, the owner is lovely and we really enjoyed chatting with her. She was very welcoming. Her garden is beautiful and creates a great spot for sitting outside and enjoying a glass of wine. My husband, baby, mother and I were all very comfortable. We would love to stay here again the next time we visit the Philly area! Thanks, Margaret!
