From the main house and gardens, one passes through antique doors to view the seventy-foot long pool with its fountains, which were inspired, by the reflectory pools and fountains in the Alhambra in Granada, Spain. Towering Italian Cypress trees and lush gardens border the pool. There is an outdoor living area with two trellises and dining areas on the pool level. Above the pool there is another outdoor entertaining area adjacent to the pool cabana and adjacent guesthouse.
In the separate guest houseThe lower level has a large living room with adjacent kitchenette and a separate full guest bath/pool cabana. Up the winding staircase is a fabulous round guest king bedded bedroom with domed brick and ceiling and private bathroom.
Both houses are furnished with a mixture of European antiques with a Spanish Colonial touch.
This well known property has been featured in House and Garden, Elle Décor, Mexico Casa Gente and Kelly Kleins 'Pools' book written about San Miguel. The villa was also described in and has hosted many famous actors and celebrities.
Both houses on the property have stereo/CD players and there are four televisions. The maximum number of guests is eight with two king size beds, one queen size and two twin beds that can be combined for a king. There is garage space for two cars and the full time staff includes one house manager who is also the cook, one maid and one gardener/houseman. There is Vonnage Phone and high-speed internet.
