We're excited to offer our charming 3 Bedroom get-away home for short-term rental. We've just given the home a fresh look with new paint throughout, new carpet, and new living room floor. We love coming out for our little get-aways and know you will too!
Kingswood Parke is one of the most beautiful and peaceful areas of Surprise. Surprise has everything you need for a get-away stay, including shopping, restaurants, and activities. Surprise Stadium is just over a mile from our place, and is home to the Royals and Rangers spring training. Nearby areas also boast of other baseball spring training fields, and of course sports complexes for the AZ Cardinals and PHX Suns. Various 'Sun City' locations are just minutes away.
In Surprise, you're close enough to venture out to Phoenix ... or you're self contained enough to stay close to home.
When you arrive to your get-away, you enter this two-story home into a large open living room with high cathedral ceiling. It flows into the dining and kitchen areas. The kitchen is large, loaded with counter space and cabinets, and fully equipped. There is also a clothes washer and dryer in the laundry area off the kitchen.
The three bedrooms are all upstairs and can sleep six adults comfortably. The Master Bedroom has a firm cal-king bed, private bathroom with double sink and huge walk-in closet. It also has a sitting area that looks out over a school playground and beautiful park behind the house.
Bedroom 2 has a plush queen bed. Bedroom 3 is set as a relaxing area for watching movies (dvd & vhs equipped) or reading. It has a futon sofa that easily converts into a full-size bed.
The 2nd bathroom is in the upstairs hallway and serves Bedrooms 2 & 3. It has tub and shower. Downstairs, you'll find another half bath between the kitchen and the living room.
If additional sleep space is needed, we also have available an auto-inflate queen air mattress - but please note that the home really sleeps FIVE - SIX comfortably.
Just outside the back sliding door you'll find a large and inviting covered concrete patio complete with BBQ grill (we have both charcoal and propane grills) and a patio table set seating six. The yard is fully landscaped and adds greatly to the relaxing and peaceful retreat-like feel of the home. Some guests tell us they spend more time there than anywhere else! Since there are no homes directly behind ours, the backyard offers a good deal of privacy. We also have a concrete circle in the back and a portable fire pit for those cool evenings you want to unwind outside around a fire.
In the living room you'll find a large screen HDTV with cable/satellite programming. The master bedroom also has a 32' wall-mounted TV you can fall asleep to.
PLEASE NOTE: We have JUST one TV receiver that feeds both TV's so the programming is identical on both. You'll just need to make sure you have the receiver remote in whichever room you want to control the programming from.
There is also a fireplace in the living room which, due to regular PHX area 'do not burn' ordinances, we currently have set up as a decorative area. If you'd like to actually burn wood or presto logs, let us know and we'll need to confirm whether it's allowed at the time of your stay and if so, we'll include that in the contract.
This home has everything you'll need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in the Sunshine State.
Please note that this is a non-smoking and no-pets home. Also keep in mind that the bedrooms are all upstairs in the event you have limited mobility issues.

The renter pays a one-time fee of $49.00 to purchase 'CSA Home Away Property Damage Protection' coverage. This provides coverage of up to $1,500 for accidental damage or loss to Homeowner's property. The $49 fee is added to the rental cost and payable to Homeowner. The Homeowner coordinates coverage and pays CSA directly prior to Guest's arrival.

Mick & Jan live in California and bought this home in 2011 as a 'get-away-when-we-can' place to unwind and relax, as well as a future likely retirement home.
Over the last year as we've come out to enjoy and spruce up the place, we have fallen in love with the area. We now have family and friends living in the general area and look forward to staying in Surprise when we can ... which isn't often enough! So in the meantime, we make the place available to you when we're not able to sneak away.
We usually run pretty hectic lives and wanted a tranquil place to unwind and get renewed. That's what this home has become for us.
When we started looking for a 2nd home in the PHX area, we checked out several communities. Surprise immediately became our favorite because of it's great location. It's close enough to PHX, but far enough away to not feel like you're in a bustling city. After we bought, we found that Surprise was listed as one of the safest cities in the country. Another cool feature.
We looked at over 30 properties before we bought. This property, by far, was our favorite. We loved the general area, the incredible and well-kept beauty of the Kingswood Parke area specifically, and this home in particular. We still do!
The main factors that made this home our favorite are: location, tranquil and friendly neighborhood, no home behind ours, large and high living room with an open feel for spreading out or entertaining, BIG kitchen with lots of counter space and cabinets, beautiful and peaceful outdoor back patio and yard area.
