Overview

Estes Park Cottage Rental Photos and Description

3 bedroom. Comfortable, clean,Well equipped, maintained, nice linens, great beds.

Elk Cottage was truly our “home away from home”. This quiet, three bedroom, historic cottage is a short walk to downtown Estes Park. The knotty pine interior is warm and cozy with all the modern necessities. Open floor plan, kitchen open to living room so everyone can feel together while cooking, eating, playing games or watching TV. Bedrooms are spaced apart to allow for quiet privacy. Enjoy views of the Stanley Hotel and Twin Owls from the deck off the master bedroom. Avoid parking hassles by parking at “home” and enjoy the views of the mountains, the lake, and all of Estes Park as you walk just 3 blocks to the downtown center, which also has a free shuttle bus (seasonal), that takes you everywhere in the Estes Valley. Grocery store is only ½ mile away. There will be Elk and other wildlife viewing opportunities. Peaceful residential street with several homes built in the 1920’s. This home will be perfect for vacationers who want to relax and enjoy Estes Park charm, and be close to restaurants and shops in a homespun atmosphere. It is a quaint and uniquely Estes Park cabin in town. You can even take the shuttle (summer) to Rocky Mountain National Park if you desire to ride and not drive, however, if you prefer to drive into the Park it is a short, easy access to both Park entrances.

In the summer enjoy your coffee on the deck or grill dinner on the barbeque. The fun in the Estes Valley is limitless. Staying in our “home away from home” you can be a visitor and a resident at the same time. Best of both worlds! You can do all of this without starting your car if you wish.

In the autumn enjoy the changing trees, the elk rut and migration through the valley, Scottish festival, Elk Fest, and some really great sales in the shops! Thanksgiving Holiday brings out the picturesque Holiday lights and decorations as well as a Catch the Glow Holiday parade the day after Thanksgiving. A truly heartwarming way to start the Season!

There is simply no better place to spend Christmas than this quaint, beautifully decorated mountain village. Winter is a fantastic time to visit Estes Park. It is quiet and peaceful and there are many things to do in the area such as snow shoeing, sledding, ice skating, playing in the snow, and enjoying a warm meal in the restaurants. January brings the Winter Festival which is something worth checking out.

Spring brings with it the newborn Elk calves and migration through the valley again. All in all, there are just no ends to the things to do in the Estes Park Valley…..oh and did I mention hiking and exploring in Rocky Mountain National Park? This home offers a close and convenient access to all amenities in the Estes Valley.

Please allow us to welcome you to our “home away from home”.

About Becky Sorensen

I am a native of Colorado and love spending time in the mountains. We have raised three wonderful daughters and have 6 grandchildren. Living in Estes Park is wonderful. Estes Park is a great community for visitors or residents. Come and create some great memories!

Becky Sorensen purchased this cottage in 2005

Why Becky Sorensen chose Estes Park

We purchased this property because of it's unique Estes Park charm and history. Built in the 1920's it is cozy and warm but with all the modern conveniences of today. Updated but retains the 'cabin' feel that we love.

What makes this cottage unique

The location of this property is perfect for a quick walk to town, enjoying Rocky Mountain National Park, beautiful scenic drives, or the many other Estes Valley activities. Close enough to walk or shuttle to almost anywhere in the area, including Rocky Mountain National Park. Quick and convenient access by car to activities. The deck off the kitchen and master bedroom has a great view of the Stanley Hotel and Lumpy Ridge. We have sat there many days and watched elk and deer grazing in the yard. The knotty pine interior is beautiful and creates a warm atmosphere.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Perfect! That's all I have to say.We had a great weekend. It's like home away from home. Went to the Stanley for a ghost tour and ghost stories for our daughter's 13th birthday. She and her friends can't wait to come back. I love the coziness of the your place. I want to come back in the summer. Going back to Colorado Springs and the city life. Thank you for everything.

.These girls are forever friends with "Scary Mary".

A perfect cabin for our film festival weekend!

  • 5 of 5

We cannot thank Becky enough for her hospitality and opening up her home to us. We were in town for the Stanley Film Festival, and this cabin was walking distance to the Stanley Hotel. Highly recommend!

Adorable Mountain Cabin!

  • 5 of 5

We rented this cottage for a little family vacation and we really enjoyed it! Reminded us so much of the cabin we lived in years ago. The cabin is not large but has everything you need (including deer off the back deck!). The kitchen had plenty of cookware, plates, silverware, barbeque, etc. (sometimes nightly rentals do not) and the beds were comfy. The location is great, right in town but with great views. You really feel like you are in the mountains in this cute cabin. We would definitely stay there again.

The cottage had everything we needed. I especially loved the large balcony complete with 2 accesses, gas grill, and furniture. The kitchen is open to living room, well equipped, easy to use. The location is great. Quiet neighborhood, and very close to shops and the park. Oh, did I mention, the views are incredible!

  • 5 of 5

This cottage was cozy and very comfortable! It's convenient to town and has a very well stocked kitChen. it was nice to have all of the movies there for our evening relaxation too. I would definitely recommend this to all types of families or couples. The views are great, even saw elk right across the street.
