Our lovely “Sled Hill House” and restored historic barn are nestled in 10 acres of wooded hills and meadows with great views from every room out over the Green Mountains. Located in the charming South Londonderry community, we have everything you need within a minute walk or a few minutes drive from our winding driveway.
For the sports and outdoor enthusiasts we are a 20-minute drive to Vermont’s famous Stratton, Bromley and Magic Ski Resorts. “Sled Hill” is also within striking distance of Stiles Peak, Little Rock Pond and the great Appalachian/Long Peak trail system for your daily hiking challenge or stroll. We are surrounded by opportunities for fall hikes, winter cross-country skiing, snowshoeing or spring and summer mountain biking. With lovely streams and rivers literally down the hill, our location is a south central Vermont base for fly-fishing.
For those who simply want to enjoy the rural life we have “the Pantry” a five-minute walk to the bottom of the hill. Here you can pick up your morning coffee, newspaper or gourmet ingredient for tonight’s dinner. Six doors down from our driveway sits the award winning SoLo farm & table restaurant. SoLo promotes local farm to table cuisine that is a treat to your taste buds.
We are surrounded by locally owned and operated dairy farms who create their own internationally renowned cheeses. If high end shopping, fine dining and a round of golf is your pleasure, the diverse village of Manchester is a 45 minute beautiful drive away.
Our wood finished house has three bedrooms and two full baths. Wide planked wooden floors through out, we also have a finished basement with an additional two bunk rooms, full bathroom and small efficiency kitchen.
Our open kitchen looks out into the living room and deck. Working fireplace adds to the charm on snowy evenings. Lovely living room with antique accents also has views to the mountains and slopes. Our restored barn is an excellent spot for hide n seek, while meadows and pond turn to sled hills and a skating rink during the winter. Sled Hill is a diverse and beautiful spot for family and friends to spend the holidays and ski season together and create life experiences.
We are only interested in the winter season rental for five months. We can also discuss rent to purchase option.
