AS SEEN ON HGTV!! RENOVATED 2 STORY FARMHOUSE ON 4 ACRES/MEADOW/MOUNTAIN VIEWS!

Woodstock House Rental Photos and Description

Restored 3 bedroom Farm House w/Hot Tub, Fireplace, in the Heart of Woodstock

AS SEEN ON HGTV!!! Restored Farm House w/Hot Tub and Fireplace just 1.5 miles from town-Restaurant Row

Quintessential Catskills get-away: Renovated 1935 farmhouse on 4 acres just moments from the fabled village of Woodstock. 2-story house features an open floor plan, with a modern, fully updated kitchen + bar that looks out onto both the dining room and a cozy living room, perfect for entertaining family or friends. Large, windows throughout bring lots of sunlight, cool breezes and nature into the space, and offer plenty of opportunities for watching the wildlife. A crackling fire in the living room provides additional charm.

Upstairs features a master bedroom w/ vaulted-ceiling and ceiling fan, and a second spacious bedroom, both with views of Overlook Mountain. The third bedroom is tucked behind the living room on the first floor.

Outside, relax with a good book on the covered porch (rain or shine), or enjoy grilling around the hand-built blue stone dining table while family and friends frolic on the great lawn. After dinner or a long day of hiking or skiing, enjoy an evening of romance and star-gazing in the hot tub.

No matter the season, the house is perfectly situated to take full advantage of the Catskills. If skiing or snowboarding is your thing, we’re 30 minutes from Hunter, Belleayre and Windham Ski Resorts, with cross-country and snow-shoe trails even closer. Summer means canoeing in North South Lake, hiking to Overlook Mountain (trail head just a mile up the road) or a variety of other nearby Catskill trails, tubing in the Esopus Creek, bicylcling to Cooper Lake or around the Ashokan Reservoir, or swimming in one of the many nearby “swimming holes”, including Kaaterskill Falls, Peekamoose, Onteara Lake and many others yet to be discovered (we’ll share our secret list of the best swimming holes and tell you how to find them once you check in!). Or you can simply hit the tennis and basketball courts (w/children’s playground) less than a mile away in the center of town.

Euphoria Yoga is 5 minutes away in the center of town.

Cultural attractions within minutes of the house include Woodstock Film Festival, Woodstock Writers Festival, The Byrdcliffe Arts Colony (established 1902) and plenty of antiquing, not to mention “foodie” havens such as Cucina, Oriole 9, the Red Onion, and our personal favorite, Peekamoose (well worth the 20 minute drive up 28 to Big Indian). The Omega Institute, Bard College and the Hudson art scene / Basilica Hudson are also 20 minutes away.

We are any easy 2-hour drive from New York City, and the house is just 2 miles from the Trailways bus stop in the center of Woodstock, making it an easy trip whether you arrive by car or bus.

Tranquil and relaxing! Close to home but away from it all!

Had a great time at Maria and Vicki's home in early October! The house is in a lovely location, close to hiking and biking. It is very quaint, comfortable and more than met our needs! The hot tub was wonderful after a day of hiking (we hiked up to the Overlook Mountain fire tower for a spectacular view)! We also enjoyed a couple of evenings by the fire pit outside. It was a perfect respite for us! We were celebrating our 20th anniversary with a belated short get-away. Maria was a wonderful host, very easy to communicate with and very helpful, sending along information on the house and area as well as activities and restaurants. We arrived on a chilly, rainy afternoon to a very warm welcome - the front light was on, hot tub was running - and she even surprised us with a bottle of wine and dessert to help us celebrate! Thank you, Maria, for sharing your home and being such a wonderful host! We would definitely recommend and hope to be back!

very nice weekend!

I've been to the Catskills many times, and had the luxury of staying in a friend's cabin... in a private area. I was a little nervous to rent, but this was a great house to stay in near Woodstock...although there are neighbors close by, you can't see or hear them - it feels very private. The house is very cute and clean. It has a new kitchen, and two new bathrooms, but the house still feels like a weekend home or a cabin (which is a good thing!). We stayed during a hot, rainy spell (yes, hot and rainy!), so we were very glad to have the air conditioners to turn on to keep the house a little cooler. On our third night, it was a beautiful cool night (which is much more typical for a summer night in the Catskills) and we slept with our windows open so we could feel the cool air and so we could hear crickets!
Maria was especially accommodating - I didn't realize there was a check in time, and she let us in a bit early - which was really helpful since we had a baby with us! She was also available by text (or phone, I'm sure) if we needed anything! She had recommended some excellent places to eat which we tried and we were very happy. We really had a great time. We loved it, and we'd recommend staying there!

Family night in Woodstock

We had a fabulous time in Woodstock and in this lovely farmhouse in Woodstock, NY. My husband and I took two of our kids to see a show at Leon Helms' Studio. We arrived late in the afternoon and left early the next morning, so we had little time at this house. I can say that Maria was incredibly generous and helpful to us. She couldn't have been nicer, really. The home was perfectly situated for the Midnight Ramble. It charming -- very clean, air conditioned. We didn't cook in the kitchen given our short time there, but it was clearly recently renovated and they did a nice job. We left wishing we'd had more time! Woodstock has a lot to offer. I recommend a visit to the area and this home.

Disappointing - NO A/C (or dishwasher; 1.5baths)

Positives:
- Owner was very nice - she gave us great suggestions on hiking/kayaking
- Directions were straightforward and easy to find

Negatives:
- No air conditioning (Owner never claimed that there was a/c in the house and it is not listed as an amenity but since we are from Manhattan we're used to having a/c in the summer so just be aware); the upstairs thermostat read 90-95 degrees and the downstairs thermostat read 85-90 degrees during the time we were there. The house has bad ventilation and was very humid at all times. Owner told me five times that the heat was unusual; she brought two extra fans - to no avail. We arrived on Wednesday night - by Friday, after two very hot and sleepless nights, we returned home
- the house is renovated, but certainly not top to bottom and definitely not luxury. The top floor has a King bed and a *full* bed (definitely not a queen); we stayed in the bottom room, which was a queen but the windows were stuck shut. According to owner the windows normally open but it was so humid that they were stuck.
- there is no dishwasher (again, no claim in the amenities there is one)
- the outdoor seating area is rusty and dirty; it is not inviting at all. There is a picture of it captioned "vintage glider awaits you" on the website. It was covered in rust and the red chairs to the left of it were downright dirty. It was located under an area of the house that was completely covered in cobwebs and bugs. Certainly not inviting to sit outside.
- There is only 1.5 baths and the shower window upstairs opens directly to the jacuzzi (i.e. there is no curtain and anyone in the jacuzzi can see directly into the shower)
Owner's Response: The comfort of our guests is our top priority. At the time we did not offer A/C in our list of amenities. Our nights are cool and many of us do not have it. However, this guest happened to be here during a 2 day heat wave. They checked in at night and requested more fans which we delivered immediately the following morning. We offered to buy and install Air Conditioning, but the guest chose to leave a day early. We also offered a free weekend anytime in the future which the guest also declined. The area of the home that has cobwebs and bugs is actually on the porch outside. This home was a gut renovation in 2012. Some original farmhouse built-ins were restored to preserve the original charm. We now have Air Conditioning in every room.

We were three families with five children under five. We all fit comfortably in the house. We used the kitchen for three great dinners. Hot tub was clean and fun. Though close to the road was quite and safe with a big yard. Would recommend.
