The wall to wall windows overlooking the West Grand Traverse Bay and the open layout of this home had us sold immediately!
Private wooded lots surround this vacation home for an away from it all feel! Relax on the deck swing, in the hot tub, sauna or on the beach......
This property is exquisite! The house was emaculate and very user friendly. Instructions on how to use the hot tub, sauna and appliances were very clear and easy to follow. We were a party of 12 and slept very comfortably. In fact, I think 14 would still be comfortable sleeping here! There was enough space to accommodate everyone. The new queen bed in the master bedroom was sooo comfortable! We forgot a few things including water shoes, toothbrushes, a sewing kit and laundry detergent....but she provided all of that and a bottle of wine and chocolates! We were impressed at how accurately she described the home and sleeping accommodations on vrbo. It took all the anxiety out of vacationing. The pictures on the website also provide you with a virtual tour of the home. Her attention to detail and communication skills were top notch. Prior to confirming our reservation, she contacted us to review all the details of the sleeping arrangements and rental policies. All rules and directions were clearly written, discussed and agreed upon. Upon arrival, the home not only met but exceeded our expectations! Sitting on the deck eating lunch fresh off the gas grill was wonderful! Had to say we LOVED the outdoor hot shower! We had a great time and would recommend this home to anyone looking for a great escape . Can't wait to reserve our vacation here next summer!
Had a great time, super clean and a great location!! Beautiful large and well maintained home. We will be back!!

We had a great long weekend. The house is an architectural delight with beautiful wooden beams, lovely hard wood floors and matching furniture. The kitchen was fully equipped with every possible appliance, including a great mixer, dishes, and silverware. We enjoyed the cable hi definition TV and the WiFi and stereo. In addition there was a sauna, and hot tub. It has a beach area with chairs and a fire pit, which provides a lovely view of the bay. It was sparkling clean in every area of the house. We liked the openness of the home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to a return visit.
The property is beautiful, has a great view of the water and nice area down by the water for swimming or a bonfire. The house is definitely big enough for a large group, we slept 13 adults comfortably. Unfortunately, we did have some cleaning problems upon arriving for the weekend. Most of the towels were mildewy and we found sandy unwashed sheets on some beds. We ran out of some standard items including toilet paper, dish soap and laundry detergent due to the multiple loads of laundry we had to do to clean the towels and sheets. It was clear the home had not been fully cleaned before we arrived as there were also numerous cobwebs and dead bugs. Our group was also accused of doing some damage that we were not responsible for and we were not refunded our full deposit. Overall I was very disappointed in our stay and will not be returning.
Thanks for sharing your lovely home on the beach. It was so accommodating and comfortable. The boys enjoyed canoeing up to Stoney Point, having kayak races around the big rock, roasting fresh corn around the campfire, daytripping to Pyramid Point and North Bar Lake, and so much more. Especially enjoyed the little chipmunk friend that peered through the window each morning.
We had a great time, this home has everything!
We stayed here for our girls weekend, this home had everything we needed. Plenty of room for all 9 of us to be comfortable. Pictures of the home are accurate, the view is breathtaking.
We spent an evening down by the water using the fire pit, (helpful hint: bring a flashlight to the fire, walking back up the stairs in the dark was "interesting" lol) drank our coffee each morning watching the most amazing sunrise. During our visit to Suttons Bay (town is about a 15 min. drive) we ate at VI Grill and Marthas Leelanau Table which we highly recommend. Also visited several winery's with Blackstar and L. Mawby being our favorites. Accommodating a party of 9 isn't always easy but all of these places were super!
Hanan is awesome, not only is she sharing her home, but she wants you to love it and goes the extra mile to make sure you will enjoy your stay. She is super quick with her responses, this helped make our stay easy, welcoming and fun.
These few things are for information only, they did not in anyway damper our weekend.
1. The stairs to the water are steep 2. Theres a dropoff in the backyard, don't let young children wander back there without supervision 3. It is not a "beach" area, we did go into the water wearing water shoes but it is rocky for quite a ways. The water was beautiful, blue, turquoise, and sapphire...breathtaking!
Thank you Hanan and Michael for sharing your home and giving us our 24th year of fun memories!
Close to both downtown Suttons Bay (about 3 miles) and Traverse City (about 12 miles). Easy access to Traverse City and M22, but away from the crowds and noise. All water sports welcome on this Bay! It has a great hard sand bottom, crystal clear and clean water, wonderful for kayaking, boating, swimming and tubing. Only a few miles to the DNR boat ramp. West Bay is part of Lake Michigan and has cleaner water, bigger waves and sandier beaches. Petoskey Stones have waited millions of years for you to come find them. Close to two golf courses, 12 vineyards (which offer free wine tasting) and the Leelanau Sands Casino!
