This 1 Bedroom 1 Bath unit has a comfortable breezy feeling. Comfortable King sized bed, fully appointed Kitchen, and a large wrap around lanai. This is the perfect place to wind down and enjoy your vacation. Head down to a fabulous restaurant, explore the shops, or head straight to the beach with the crystal clear blue water of the Pacific Ocean and soft white sands.
Lin and I have been friends for many years When Lin decided to purchase this condo, she called me and asked me to take care of the management for her. My husband Rick and I own a small Real Estate company here on the Big Island called South Island Realty.
Lin Tottle purchased this condo in 2012
We want to provide a comfortable, affordable, well located place to land. We want to help others discover what we already have...that the slower pace, the Hawaiian style of living here is good for the soul, you will relax in body and mind in this tropical paradise, and that's a good thing.
The spirit of aloha.
I absolutely loved this condo and Lin, the owner! So comfortable and beautiful! Everything I needed was supplied and the feeling of welcome and home that Lin creates is stellar. The fresh fruit from her farm and the invitation to visit her there, made me feel like a friend rather than just a guest. Listening to the birds sing and watching the sun rise through the trees, both from my bed and the lanai, graced with my morning with a calm and happy heart. The grounds of the Shores are so lovely and serene. I would stay in this condo again in heartbeat. In fact, I plan to return next year.
Had very comfortable accommodation. Convient location to all activities. Owner supplied us with large tray of home grown fruit, YUM!
Exceptionally well-stocked condo. Comfortable, clean, spacious, quiet. Immaculate grounds - garden, pool, spa, barbecue areas. Very attentive owner who greeted us with a fruit basket and was available throughout the stay. Close to beaches, entertainment and dining. A-bay is clean and calm. There is a great restaurant right in front of the complex gates, much more about a half-hour stroll away. Nightly live shows at King's and Queen
s shops. True paradise! Definitely will recommend to friends and will be back.
Great place to stay outside of Kona. The pictures are accurate. Very well stocked. It was great having everything there. Enjoyed the fresh local fruit. Nice location to drive to Kona, Coffee Plantations, Snorkeling etc. Close to good beaches as well.
Over the years I have stayed in many condos on the Big Island. This is absolutely the best I have ever found. Immaculately clean, beautifully decorated with an extraordinally stocked kitchen. The bed is one of the most comfortable I've every slept in in a vacation rental. The owner has obviously given a great deal of thought on how to create an environment which would resemble one's own home. She had a wonderful basket of home grown fruit which is a great alternative to the usual package of coffee and candy. Everything is provided, including two sets of snorkle gear, beach chairs, cooler, etc. The photos are an accurate representation of the rooms. The complex is very quiet, I did not hear anyone else. Parking is right outside the unit under shade trees. Owner was extremely prompt in refunding the security deposit. I can highly recommend this condo, it's just perfect.
We stayed in this apartment for a week with tow smaller kids. The apartment is in a good shape: it is cosy, well maintained, kitchen is stocked better than at my home. We mostly cooked in the apartment and had our dinners on the lanai, which also has two long chair for relaxing. The location is very nice - it is facing 'inside' so there is no noise. There is a parking lot for a building downstairs (the apartment is on the 2nd floor). It did not bothered us at all, it's generally not much activity there since a building itself is 8 or 10 apartments. The killer feature is that you can walk to beach (A-beach), very few apartments on Hawaii can say that (unless you're spending a fortune staying in a first-line hotel)! The walk took us 10-15 minutes (with a 6yo and a toddler). The beach has a rental station, so you could get snorkeling/paddleboarding/kayaking gear on the spot. Granted, more expensice than in Snorkel Bob or alike, but a definite plus if you don't want to waste time and only do it once or twice. Also, seems like the best sandy beaches on Big Island are in this area, so you could get there with a very short drive.
One grocery store is walkable, but it is quite expensive, Foodland is 5-7 minutes driving and prices are much more reasonable.
Owners are very nice people too, they even invited us to visit their farm in northern part of island. We were picking papaya, tangerines and fresh macadamias there, fantastic! Overall, highly recommend this place as a base: a lot of interesting places to visit nearby + nice apartment, what else do you need?
The Shores at Waikoloa Beach is located in an area of High end Resort Hotels and luxury condominiums. Just minutes to 'A' Bay beaches and a short walk to great dining options and shopping. Of course the beach and nearly year round sunshine is the big draw here, but the Big Island has so much to offer, there is something for everyone.
