Comfortable flat near Kennington

My husband and I rented the flat for a week's stay. It was our first trip to London and we found the apartment to be in an excellent location for getting around the city. The nearest Underground station is Kennington (Zone 2), a 7-10 minute walk from the flat. We bought 7-day Oyster cards (Zones 1 and 2) for our stay and traveled everywhere by Underground; however, the area is also well served by multiple bus routes.

We tried several restaurants in the area and can highly recommend Oaka at The Mansion House. The Tesco Express near to Kennington Station was incredibly handy for picking up food for breakfasts and dinners. (There is also a convenient cash machine outside the Tesco.) We cooked in the flat multiple nights. The apartment comes equipped with all necessary kitchen equipment and a dishwasher, which we did not use since we did not buy any detergent.

Paul met us in the apartment upon our arrival and left us a handy list of instructions for the stay. The place was neat and tidy. We liked having access to Wifi during our stay, which made it convenient to email family and friends back home. We especially appreciated the washing machine since we had been traveling for a week before arriving in London.

A great flat

My family and I had a very enjoyable stay in this flat. Booking was straightforward and making arrival arrangements was simple too.
The flat is clean, comfortable and well maintained. It was a great size for the four of us.
Paul gave us some useful advice about transport links and local shops and we found getting in and out of the centre straightforward.
We have often stayed in apartments in London and found this one to be amongst the best.

A Wonderful Flat for a London Holiday!

This is a great place to stay! The flat is modern and clean. Everything is up to date. The decorating is beautiful, every bit as good looking as the pictures. Bathroom is sleekly modern with one of the best shower heads in London. The bed is excellent (we've endured more than a few mediocre beds). Paul, the owner, was quick and responsive in arranging the booking, making the check-in process go smoothly and was helpful in many ways. We liked the location, in a quiet residential area. It was a nice respite from the hurly burly of central London. A real plus is the excellent bus service nearby that took us to anyplace we needed to go. All in all, a top notch experience. Highly recommended. We'll be back!

Kennington is a beautiful, quiet and quaint area of London located only 1.5 miles (2km) from central London, so getting in to town is simple and quick with numerous transport links on your doorstep. Kennington Lane has lovely cafes, pubs and restaurants so it is easy to eat and drink in the area and there is also a major supermarket up the road for your food shopping.

Kennington tube station is a 5 minute walk from the apartment.

The Imperial War museum is a 5 minute walk away and the river Thames around a 10 minute walk away.

The Southbank Centre with its numerous theatres, shops, restaurants and cinemas is a 15-20 minute walk or a quick bus or tube ride.

You can easily walk to the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye which is 1.2 km away and takes around 15 minutes)
