This beautiful 3,600 square foot Dixon-model Ranch Club Cabin has been recently updated and professionally decorated. The main level features an expanse of windows, which look out to views of the ski mountains and the Ranch Clubhouse. The open style great room is perfect for entertaining family and friends. Whether you’re enjoying a home cooked meal from the well-appointed kitchen, playing board games by the gas fireplace, or watching a movie on the flat screen TV, you’ll be making a lifetime of memories.

This home has commanding Deer Valley and Park City ski resort views that are even more spectacular when enjoyed from the outdoor deck; a great place to start your morning with a cup of coffee or watch the majestic sunsets with a glass of wine.

The master suite has a king bed, flat screen TV and adjoining bathroom with double vanity and large walk-in closets. Laundry room and powder bath complete the main level.

The family friendly lower level has a built-in bar area with a beverage refrigerator, gas fireplace, Foosball table and flat screen TV. The patio features a built-in fire pit which is the perfect place on a summer’s night to recap the day’s activities or take in the beauty of the shooting stars.

The spacious loft has a king sofa bed and an en-suite full bath. Warm mountain finishes and plenty of space makes this Ranch Club Cabin the perfect vacation getaway.

Our cabin is centrally located within walking distance of the Ranch Club Compound where you’ll find world-class golf at the Pete Dye Canyon golf course, pampering spa treatments, tennis, fitness and fine dining at The Hearth. The “Shed” features casual family dining with a soda fountain, arts and crafts studio, billiards and game arcade, a 50-seat movie theater, two lane bowling alley, indoor basketball arena, an amphitheater with seating for 500 and a spacious view deck with spectacular vistas.

The Outfitter’s Cabin is the headquarters for hiking, mountain biking and fishing in the summer and snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in winter.

About Grace Shigematsu

We are Southern Californians who enjoy skiing and golfing. Our 3 adult children grew up skiing and snowboarding on the slopes of Mammoth Mountain in the High Sierras. We own a home in Mammoth and have visited many golf resorts. We are now empty nesters and are relishing the time we can spend with family and friends on mountain and golf resorts.

Grace Shigematsu purchased this house in 2012

Why Grace Shigematsu chose Promontory

The Promontory Club is located 35 minutes from SLC Airport and a quick 10 minutes from Park City and Kimball Junction. Deer Valley, Park City and the Canyons resorts offer summer and winter activities. We fell in love with the high desert scenery, all the amenities that Promontory has to offer and the peacefulness of the community.

What makes this house unique

After owning a Trapper's Cabin for about 15 months, we discovered that our family and friends loved coming up with us so much that we needed a bigger place. Since we loved the proximity of our cabin to the hub of the club, we wanted our next home to also be within walking distance. This larger cabin affords us that luxury along with being able to accommodate more people.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Our 4 night stay - short, but because you were already (and deservedly!) booked on either end - leaves me with a pining feeling in my heart as we prepare to leave. Not only is being here such an exquisite feeling, both aesthetically and due to the warm energy surrounding the living space, but our ventures out were all delightful: taking bike rides and discovering the boats and decks and fish at the little lake, stumbling onto the soccer field "at the top of the world" (something about it reminded me of being in Mexico somehow), and breathing the fresh mountain air after the cleansing rain.

Outside of Promontory, we were in close proximity to Jordanelle where our son had sailing camp every morning. We hiked/walked a few Rail-to-Trails; we ate sumptuously at River Horse and bar-food-fully at Squatters; and we (parents) went paddle-boarding while our son was sailing. Meanwhile, your home served as a warm and comfortable - and at the same time grand and elegant - place to return to. The cupboards were stocked like home in terms of pots, pans, implements, tea, coffee, spices, oil, cereal, crackers - my goodness!

The beds were so comfortable we took note of the brand for OUR next mattress purchase. The spaces were all very, very clean (even the garage!). And we had the feeling at all times that we were "RIDICULOUSLY" well taken care of by you both and by Ben, the property manager (an exceptionally kind and responsive person). When we had a question, it was as if you were here at the Ranch, considering how swiftly you answered.

Grace and Ron, you and Cabin #19 are the very best end of the spectrum of what people can find on VRBO. We plan our vacations with care, and when a rental has to be sight-unseen, there's that element of uncertainty and tentativeness. But you aren't simply in the "business" of renting your house; it's as if you have a personal mission to make people's vacation really, really special. So we want you to know, it was!

Park City Ski Trip

  • 5 of 5

The home is stunning, as well as has a gorgeous view of the Park City mountains. It is spacious, very comfortable and meticulously maintained. The owners thought of everything to provide comfort and ease within their home. We enjoyed it so much we didn't want to leave. The neighborhood is very attractive. Close access to club facilities was also inviting. Thank you so much!

Utah ski trip

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at this lovely home two times now- once in the fall and then again for our January ski trip. Both times we enjoyed our stay immensely. Everything about the home completely met our needs, and the owners are thorough and very concerned that our stay be as great as it could possibly be. The living area is big enough for all of us to be together, but then there is a whole other family room downstairs, where the "young" people in our group could relax on their own. We enjoyed our proximity to the club, and made good use of its facilities and services. Ice skating, hot tub soaks. and shuttles to the ski areas were just a few. We will definitely return.

Thanksgiving in Promontory

  • 5 of 5

Our family, including 3 young children, had a wonderful stay over Thanksgiving weekend. The location is outstanding within Promontory. It was an easy walk to all the amenities, including "the Shed" where our family spent a lot of time hanging out, playing games, playing basketball, watching football. The views from the house were amazing! I believe this is one of the best situated cabins within the development. I was amazed at how well stocked the cabin was. Everything we needed to fix Thanksgiving dinner could easily be found in the kitchen. We enjoyed the cabin so much, we ended up staying and in and preparing meals many evenings as we were treated to an early snowfall. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for our family to spread out and enjoy a relaxing week. You truly feel like this could be your home when you are staying there. The house is spotless yet very comfortable, with large sectionals and cozy blankets at the ready. We will definitely be back and look forward to visiting in the Summer next time where we can take advantage of the golf courses and outdoor pools. Truly an amazing house in an amazing destination!

Hi - we had a great time in Park City staying at this beautiful Promontory cabin. We have stayed at this house a number of times and have always loved it. The owners have it decorated perfectly and have though of every detail for their guests. They and their property manager are prompt and helpful. We plan on staying here again, and again!

Wonderful Summer Stay

  • 5 of 5

We rented the cabin for our family which included two teen boys. The location was perfect, next to the amenity center so they could walk to the pools and the "Shed" where there was indoor basketball, bowling, and arcade games. Our stay couldn't have been better and we expect to come back in the winter. The drive to main street park city is about 18-20 minutes and about 12-15 minutes to the olympic village where you have to try the 2002 olympic bobsled track. The house was very comfortable for our family and could accomodate another couple kids. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need, and then some, and the furniture is comfortable and new.

Overall a wonderful stay. We even caught a few trout in the fishing pond which was a surprise as it was 90+ degrees each day. We saw some that had to be over 24 inches long so there should be lots catch as the water cools and they become more active.
