Originally built in 1895 in the historic rail and logging town dubbed 'Stumptown', these were the homes for many railroad workers of that day. Now, the premier ski resort and angler destination of Whitefish attracts travelers from all over the world with Glacier National Park and world class fishing just minutes away.

Updated with all the modern amenities, this classic Whitefish home provides the feature comforts of today yet retains an old time feel, allowing our guests to relax and unwind from the race of big city life.

Situated perfectly above The Whitefish River this location allows easy access to all that Whitefish has to offer. Across the street you may canoe the Whitefish River, ride our new bike trail, or take a stroll through riverside park. Walk three blocks for shopping, art galleries, and the finest selection of restaurants in the Flathead Valley. Enjoy the skiing Big Mountain offers during our Winter months, and mountain biking/hiking throughout Summer. It is a 30 minute drive to either Glacier National Park or Flathead Lake. A soak at Hot Springs, MT where travelers come from all over the world, is just 1 hour away.

With a bus stop 2 blocks away, the free Snow Bus provides our guests and locals alike transportation throughout Winter to the lifts at Big Mountain, where we ski over 3000 acres of easy to find fresh powder.

This comfortable home features a full kitchen, clothes washer and dryer, hi-speed internet, satellite tv, and all utilities included.

Our Historic Stumptown Cottage is conveniently located within town providing our guests with an ideal location for easy access to all that Whitefish, The Big Mountain, Glacier National Park, and all surrounding areas of The Flathead Valley has to offer. Situated directly above The Whitefish River you are in the perfect location for canoe access. Take a few minutes and row up to the lake to sit at City Beach for some sunshine, then cruise across the bay for dinner at Dans Boat Club.

Great location, great character

Myself, my wife and our dogs stayed over Christmas. The house is great, well restored but still with lots of original character. The location is unbeatable, coffee shops, restaurants, bars, shopping, shuttle stop all within a couple blocks. Was our first time in Whitefish, we loved the town and the ski-hill. I hope we get back to Whitefish soon, and if we do we'll aim to stay here again for sure.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Adventure Seekers, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway
