Welcome to the Black Forest – In our familiar house with the advantage of a very quiet location away from transit traffic, directly at the forest. Enjoy your holiday in our cosy holiday apartment in a non-smoking house, make use of the vast game and grill facilities and the sunbathing lawn and relax with our health services (acupuncture, light therapy, sauna). We will be happy to advise you about the multiple free time and athletic offers of the area. On demand you will get instruction to Nordic Walking (instructor in the house), as well as hiking advice, cards and so on. In winter the region of the Feldberg offers perfect skiing conditions for the entire family, alpine and cross-country skiing. We are looking forward to your stay with us! The Thissen family.

Amidst impressive lakes -Titisee, Schluchsee, Feldsee, Windgfaellweiher - rises the Feldberg, with its altitude of 1493 m the highest mountain of the Black Forest. Here Germanys largest national park is located with its pure air, the calm, the varied landscape with wooded hills, romantic valleys and peaks with spectacular views. In winter the Feldberg is a worthwhile destination with cross-country ski runs totalling 60 km, 25 km of slopes for beginners and professionals and 12 ski-lifts. Our house 'Sonnwaerts' is located in Feldberg-Falkau. It makes a great origin for your experience of nature, close to the edge of the forest, with hiking trails or cross-country ski runs nearby. You could make one-day-trips to Freiburg, to Switzerland, Lake Constance or the Alsace or visit one of the leisure parks in the area, e.g. Europapark Rust. During your stay you may use public transport (bus and train) free of charge!

Ski: Skiing has a long tradition at the Feldberg: An entry of a skier from 1891 can be found in the guestbook. The ski-resort Feldberg is one of the resorts with the highest snow certainties of the European low mountain range. Additionally there are snow canons. The lift association Feldberg includes 28 lifts that can be used with one single lift card. With the ski-pass you can use the ski-bus (bus stops approximately a 3 minute walk from the house Sonnwärts) for free or park for free on the Feldberg, at the valley station of the 6-chair lift. The drag lift in Altglashütten that can be reached within a 3 minute drive is well suited for families. There are cross-country ski runs totalling 60 km at your disposal. The nearest entry to the run is directly behind the house.

Other Activities: Nordic Walking (sticks and instructions free of charge).

Wir waren im Winter zum Skifahren in dieser Ferienwohnung. Wir haben ein paar sehr schöne und erlebnisreiche Wintertage verbringen können, in denen wir viel geredet, viel gespielt und gelacht haben. Was immer wir auf dem Herzen hatten, fanden wir bei unseren Hausleuten ein offenes Ohr. So haben wir einen Fernseher auch nicht vermisst. Die Wohnung ist gemütlich eingerichtet und mit allem ausgestattet, was man in einer Ferienwohnung braucht.
