The Gemmi-Pass, the unique connector between Bern and Wallis has been an important path since Roman times. During the summer, the Gemmi Region invites you to explore its hiking and climbing trails. Spend some time by the mountain lakes of Daubensee und Lämmernsee (Forellenfang), or take a short excursion to the glaciers closeby. Other hiking regions, such as Adelboden and Kandersteg are easily accessible. In the winter time, the Gemmi offers cross country skiing trails (Daubensee (7 km) and Lämmernboden (10 km)), skiing and sledging. In the region of Wildstrubel, you can do mountaineering tours. From mid-January until the end of the winter season, the renowned winter hiking trail from the Gemmi-Pass to Sunnbühl is open.
