Come to the foothills and make a new 'Tree House' memory.
I have lived in this area for 30 years. Since retirement, we have stayed in many vacation rentals in fun recreational areas. My goal was to create a similar experience in my area for my guests to enjoy. I purchased this home recently and have furnished it as a home that I would not only live in but vacation in.
Linda Boelsems purchased this house in 2012
We are in the beautiful Sierra foothills with lakes, hiking trails, snow, deer, turkeys. We are above the fog but below the snow (usually). It just does not get any better than this.
This was my second stay in the tree house. I really enjoyed my stay at the tree house. The house has plenty of room and is very clean and comfortable. It has a great kitchen for cooking which we did on our stay. Very close to the lake for fun summertime activities. We will defiantly be back to the tree house again!
This was my second visit to the Tree House. Once again I enjoyed every minute of my stay. The house is very cozy and comfortable. This visit we did a lot of cooking and doing that in the spacious kitchen was a delight. Every kitchen tool we needed was there. The entire home was so clean and well stocked. We also enjoyed a lovely fall walk around the area with lots of falling leaves and the fresh smell of fall. We plan to return next fall. Thanks for making this adventure available to us!
This is a return visit for me. I'm even more impressed this time. Perfect spot to reconnect with friends. It is comfortable and cosy when you want and then spacious enough to get off on your own.
This is the second time that we stayed at "the Tree House." The property is wonderful. Not only is it meticulously maintained, but Linda is a gracious hostess. The home is lovely, private and beautifully decorated. We highly recommend this home.
The Tree House is a great place to stay for any fun to have in the area.
The house is very comfortable and very well appointed with amenities that add to the comfort. Large living spaces and kitchen allow for a nice and open feel.
Elegant yet simple interior idea's and designs in the house may make you think about new ideas for your own home!
Our two families with young daughters stayed over Labor Day weekend and we all had a great time. Our young girls felt at home there right away and had a blast.
Rollins Lake access is really only minutes away in either direction for day use lake access fun. Also, the Yuba River is only a 30 minute drive from this house and seems faster than that to Hwy 49. The Yuba River swimming holes and waterfalls are a beautiful place to visit and was a lot of fun to swim and explore there. The town of Colfax is only minutes away from the house if a quick trip to town is needed for supplies.
And yes, fresh baked cookies were on the counter ready for us when we arrived!
Thank you Linda!
It is a great place stay for the area, and we look forward to another stay at the Tree House again in the future.
We have stayed in many rental homes over the past few years. By far, this home was the best. The home is beautiful (and clean) with a great deck in the back. We were able to enjoy great family dinners on the back deck- the kids didn't even want to turn on the TV!
Linda was a most gracious host- when she learned we were going to the lake for a swim she went out an bought beach towels for us to use. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Highly recommended!!!!
Snow skiing at Boreal, Squaw Valley, Sugar Bowl, Northstar is close. Water skiing on Rollins Lake or Folsom Lake. Sightseeing or shopping in our historic gold rush towns of Auburn, Grass Valley and Nevada City is very popular. Coloma where gold was first discovered is a very educational short trip.
