COSY AND SUNNY DUPLEX APARTMENT WITH GREAT VIEWS OVER LISBON AND RIVER

Since we liked the look of this apartment from the photos and reviews, we decided to make Rui's flat our base in Portugal as we looked for a place to live permanently, while, at the same time, having room to invite friends over from the UK. It worked perfectly. Over the five weeks we were there, at least fifteen people passed through and they all loved it as much as we did. Why? well, first the views, then the sunniness, the cosiness, the location, the spaciousness, those beautiful wooden floors, that wonderful dining room to linger in after supper, the variety of restaurants just a few minutes away, the supermarket that stays open till 9pm every night and is just downstairs, and, above all, the friendliness of the owners! We had a couple of minor problems but they were taken care of straight away, with a smile, even if it happened to be a weekend or late evening. I cannot recommend this flat, this home, highly enough. Que saudade!

Merci pour votre accueil chaleureux et vos précieux conseils. Nous avons passés un séjour formidable. L'appartement est spacieux, lumineux et bien décoré dans un quartier calme à portée de main de "l'electrico" et des bus. Nous avions l'impression d'être chez des amis!

This is a large, clean apartment that worked well for a family of five. The owner was very helpful and took the time to show us popular locations on the provided maps/ guide books. It has a wonderful neighborhood feel with groceries available a few doors down. It is only a short walk to a stop for Tram 28 and a little bit futher to a taxi stand. If you don't mind walking the Afama district, subway lines, square, etc. are also easy to get to. We enjoyed watching the sunrise out of the front windows of the apartment and the sunsets out of the back windows. We would stay here again if we get a chance to return to Portugal.
