Welcome to Barefoot Beach Resort! This is a brand new upscale Key West style condo hotel located on the sunny Intracoastal Waterway of Indian Shores, Florida and offers access and fabulous views of the Waterway while just being steps away from the beaches of the Gulf of Mexico.
As an alternative to your usual hotel stay, this beautiful condominium is furnished with all of the amenities of home while maintaining many of the same benefits you find in a hotel.
This ground level vacation residence features a patio, one bedroom, one full bath along with a Florida room. The spacious carpeted bedroom has a queen-size bed, 32' flat screen HDTV, a large closet, ceiling fan and French doors leading out to the Florida room.
A well appointed kitchen with granite countertops, full-size refrigerator with ice maker, stove with oven, microwave, dishwasher, and every utensil you need to prepare meals at your leisure. The family room has a sofa, 39' flat panel, HDTV, digital cable, DVD, and stereo system with ipod dock.
The condo has ceramic tile floors, crown molding, and a front patio that has a view of the gulf sunset.
The condominium is located next to several restaurants and pubs. The famous Salt Rock Grill is located directly next door. Crabby Bill's, The Pub, The Frog Pond, The Wine Cellar and The Lobster Pot are just down the road. Smugglers Cove Miniature Golf, Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary, Tiki Gardens, and Town Square Nature Park are all within walking distance. The famous John's Pass Village is just six miles south of the condo.
The Suncoast Trolley Stop is located steps from our condo & direcly next door to the resort. The trolley runs from Clearwater Beach to John's Pass and Pass-A-Grille Beach.
There are many amenities on site. A coin operated laundry room is located adjacent to this unit. A heated swimming pool overlooks the intercoastal waterway, a private fishing deck & new gas grills throughout the resort. There are also plenty of parking spaces for you and your guests.
Very impressed. Pictures are just like unit. No surprises. Loved outside patio area with table, chairs and umbrella, able to read newspaper (which you can buy at corner about 5 feet away) every morning and watch and talk to the people passing by. Beach entry about 50 yards away. Great beach - can walk forever. Pool at Resort "beautiful". Clean and refreshing with exceptional views. Had a fabulous five days.
The condo was nice looking, clean, had a great location being across the street from the beach, and near great places to eat. More importantly, we could just walk next door to go minygolfing before bed at Smugglers Cove. It was perfect.
Thank you Mark and Rose for the wonderful place to stay!!
Wonderful place, close to the beach. Very clean. Fully stocked. Owner is very nice.
This was a relaxation / adventure / visiting relatives trip of one week - our first trip to the area. A quick drive from Tampa airport, Indian Shores is centrally located to many areas of interest.
We were pleased to find that the condo looked JUST like the pics. The property was very clean, it seemed very safe and the condo was spotless. It was a relief to find so many things that made it feel like a real home away from home. For example, all the dishes/utensils you could need, blender for making drinks, coolers and chairs for the beach, etc. The décor is pleasant with a touch of beach.
The Salt Rock Grill was classy and the food very good - since it was on the pricey side, we enjoyed an "early bird" dinner (entrees for $15).
We loved the beach - it felt semi-private. The most beautiful sunsets we saw and most relaxing times we spent were on the beach at Indian Shores.
Clearwater was nice - a 20 minute drive/bus trip north. The area is bustling and very commercial. We did a boat trip from the pier across from Clearwater beach and that was a lot of fun - we highly recommend it. There are many to choose from. The Crabby Bill's there offered good food fast (takeout) if you're short on time, which we were.
The Clearwater Aquarium was worthwhile and the boat ride to/from Winter's Tale to the Aquarium was a nice surprise (I didn't know a boat ride was involved!)
If you don't mind the drive, about 2 hours away at Crystal River I would highly recommend you swim with the manatees. It's an exhilarating experience.
Another point of interest not to be missed is the Skyway Bridge 20 minutes south on I-275 and take a drive over this beautiful bridge. Not to be missed during the day and night. Take a picnic and chairs with you to enjoy the scenic view. If you fish, they have a crazy pier (fee).
Our favorite meal was at The Conch in North Redington beach (about 10 minutes south of condo).
Mark and Rose were a pleasure to work with in renting their condo and answering questions. It made it easy to focus on planning our trip excursions.
You can easily find everything you need within 10-15 of the condo. Grocery & surf stores, rentals, Starbucks - the location is great, though you'll have to go to Clearwater if you want souvies.
Of all the beach / neighborhoods we checked out, Indian Shores was our favorite. We were glad we chose this quiet area for our visit and look forward to the next time.
We enjoyed our stay in your beautiful condo. Pleased with the Décor. To have computer access was a plus. It was pretty quite for being so close to Gulf Blvd. We will certainly keep your place in mind when planning our next trip to Indian Shores and we would recommend it to friends and family. Thanks for sharing!
