I was honored enough to be the first guest here at the Riverhouse. I was unsure of what to expect but from a very friendly dog meeting me at the door, and meeting the owners, my mind was set at ease. Then I saw the third floor and was in awe. The view! The windows! The decor! All awesome!! It was everything I had hoped for: breathtaking view, quiet, tranquil, and private.
The owners were perfect hosts, extending a kind invitation to join them in pre-New Year's Eve celebration festivities with delicious food and beverage. Then respecting my wishes for privacy, they were hands-off unless I had questions, which they promptly answered. Initially, I did not want to tell anyone about this gem and just keep it to myself but I had to share. A relative is already interested in a possible future stay. There were many nice personal touches throughout the space; too many to list. My stay was absolutely amazing and I hope to stay here again someday.

Owner's Response: It was a pleasure to host Maggie during her visit. We are glad she was able to enjoy the tranquility of the Riverhouse. Although it is a great time of the year to throw a log on the fire and experience the stillness of the river, there is plenty of activity with the blue herons, eagles, cardinals, songbirds busy feeding and rising and falling of the river tide.
We hope you can come share in life at the Riverhouse. You will smile as you see the sky filled with pink and purple hues as the sun sets over the lovely Rappahannock.
