House, 2 Bedrooms + Sleeping Porch, 2 Baths (Sleeps 6-10)

This brick ranch home is located on three acres and a small lake in the Pinckney Recreation Area. The lake is great for swimming and taking a leisurely paddle around the lake. In the summer time it is a great place for a family get together. Fire pit, gas grill, picnic tables, swing, volleyball net, outdoor shower all make for a great summer vacation. The fireplace and hot tub make for a great fall, winter and spring getaway. The house comes completely furnished with 2 king sized beds, one full size and 2 futons mattresses allow up to 10 people. There is an amazing feeling of peace and tranquility in this setting. You cannot see any other houses so you really have privacy. There are 2 canoes and 2 kayaks that come with the rental. The living room has a 42 inch HD TV, the porch bedroom has a 31 inch TV with cable, the master bedroom has a 21 inch tv with cable, the garage has a 52 inch tv with cable and the other bedroom has a small tv (no cable) with a dvd player and an assortment of dvds available. The kitchen is completely stocked with everything you need including a Keurig coffee maker, popcorn popper, Kitchen Aid Mixer and several sizes of Crock Pots.

As a kid I have many fond memories of this place- Christmas dinner, Easter egg hunts, swimming and watching baseball on TV with my Grandpa. I was lucky enough to get to live here with my Grandpa for a few years while I was in college. I told him I wanted to buy the place-he thought I was crazy. Somehow it all worked out that in 2003 I got the unique opportunity to own this place. Everyday there are amazing encounters with nature and a peaceful and serene setting that renews your spirit.

Grandma and Grandpa Devine bought this property in 1957 and then built the house 3 years later.

Sitting on the dock, kayak or lawn chair you are surrounded by nature and it is rejuvenating. Swimming in this lake you don't have any boats to worry about. You can just swim or float for hours and enjoy the serenity. Every season has its unique characteristics and each is dramatic and magical.

We stayed at the secluded lakefront getaway for our son's graduation from the University of Michigan. We had multi generations stay for the weekend, from a 3 year old to a73 year old. It fit the bill perfectly for all of us. Our teenage boys stayed in the man cave garage, which was a nice separate space for them. We had time to relax by the lake. It was a perfect fit. We would recommend this property to anyone.

we stayed for a wknd had a very nice time the owner karen worked very hard to accomadate us she was very freindly and everything needed is in house.better than pictures and lots of birds.

I spent a much needed and very enjoyable weekend here. The house is wonderful; very cozy and a pleasure to visit. The living room area is great, the fireplace is great, the kitchen is great, the bed I used is very comfortable.The property and lake are as nice as advertised and extremely private. The house and yard were clean and in great shape. The kitchen had everything I needed to cook a large meal for a few friends on short notice, and Pinckney has a great grocery store. Everyone from adults to a 2 year old child to my two dogs found it to be a great place to visit and relaxed upon arrival. I intend to rent it again and friends of mine who visited for a day are considering renting it for themselves (and they better invite me!). We took a great hike on the nearby hiking trails and it was beautiful. This was a winter visit and great for that. I'd love to spend time during all seasons at this location.

We stayed here about 3 yrs ago and had a fantastic time. We were so upset when the house was temporarily off the rental market. we will certainly be back this summer.
