JUNE SPECIAL! STUNNING HOME W/ OCEAN VIEW ROOF TERRACE! STEPS TO THE BEACH!

We stayed in this house over spring break. It was 2 adults and 3 children (ages 7, 5, and 2.5). The house is very clean and has the vibe of an IKEA showroom - clean lines, fresh, simple. I liked that there wasn't too much clutter around, though I did have to put some glass vases up high so my kids wouldn't hurt them. The master bedroom and bathroom are HUGE. The master bedroom is located on the top floor (the house is 3 floors). The other bedrooms were on the 1st, or bottom floor. I mention this because if you have young kids, it can feel a bit far away from them. And also because there are lots of stairs to navigate. Luckily my 2 year old could sleep in the pack-n-play (provided by the house) in the huge master closet! So we could hear her. The house is literally 2 blocks from the ocean. We got to watch the surfers in the evening and dig for shells. The waves are very big at this particular beach so it wouldn't be the ideal beach for wee ones, but since the water was so cold anyway (we were there in march) my kids loved dipping their toes in and digging in the sand while we watched the surfers. Everything about the house was nicely done - the linens, the kitchen, the furniture. There is a tiny enclosed yard in the front and a roof deck (up a spiral staircase) for spending time outdoors at the house. There was a washer/dryer available for us to use as well. We thought the house was a good value for the size/cleanliness/quality. The neighborhood is very nice and it was lovely to jog along the beach and through the neighborhood. It is about 1.5 miles to the shops and restaurants of La Jolla so we mostly drove. The location was perfect for our trip, which included spending some time in San Diego and some time at Legoland, as well as La Jolla. Whole Foods was about 15 minutes away by car. We got take out from Prep Kitchen - twice! - which we loved. Another grocery store was less than 5 minutes away by car. It was a great vacation and we would definitely consider renting this house again!

We just completed our stay at this spacious, clean and modern property. We had 5 family members and the bedrooms and bathrooms are fantastic. The master suite (bedroom, terrace, closet and master bath) is gigantic and very well appointed. The common spaces (kitchen, dining room and living room) are big, comfortable and very well appointed. The rooftop terrace is stunning in terms of the ocean view. We watched every sunset on this terrace. The house is reasonably close to La Jolla Village making trips to the sights and shopping very convenient. Finally, the house is perfectly situated close to the Windansea beach access making it very convenient for our almost daily walks on the beach.
