Located in convenient West Asheville, this unique 650 square foot apartment rests atop a private home overlooking the River Arts District. Built in 1925, our well-maintained house is characteristic of old West Asheville featuring hardwood floors and spacious rooms. The property has mountain views from nearly every window and is flooded with natural light.
For our guests we have a fully equipped eat-in kitchen, a European king size bed, tub & shower, large walk-in closet, air conditioning, a covered area for bikes & parking, work area and wireless internet & cable.
Our neighborhood is quiet but eclectic with a short walk to lively Haywood Road where you can find great coffee, BBQ, pub-grub or fancier fare. The W1 or W2 buses stop a few blocks away from the house and can deliver you to downtown Asheville in 15 minutes.
Come enjoy all that Asheville has to offer from the many music venues, award-winning local beer, delightful restaurants, festivals, antiquing and an abundance of natural attractions.
Guests/tenants have the unilateral right to occupy the premises for up to 30 consecutive days at the per diem rate.
My family and I moved to Asheville in July of 2011 from New York, New York. After many years in the city, we decided it was time to get back to an environment that was a little closer to our roots. I was born in Atlanta and lived in Georgia for the first half of my life and Nick, my husband is from Vancouver, B.C. We both missed fresh air, living closer to nature and let's face it- more than 600 square feet in which to live. It is so nice to now be able to invite friends, family and YOU to stay with us and enjoy this wonderful city surrounded by National Parks! We are an artistic family- Nick is a painter and teaches drawing and painting in several parts of the country and I am a former painter turned textile designer turned interior designer. The 'Doll House' as it has been named by the sisters who grew up here and now live in the two houses next door is a spacious, simple and colorful retreat that we hope you will enjoy.

We looked at properties in all areas of Asheville before we bought and nothing compared to this house. It is spacious but not over-whelming, has huge closets, a sturdy foundation, adorable windows with many original panes, light and views that are amazing and our neighbors are the salt of the earth. We are close to everything, can walk to several good restaurants and yet enjoy a quiet street. Who could want more?

Dana's apartment is indeed "sunny, charming, and private," and it was perfect for our stay in Asheville. We found it to be cozy and comfortable--and quite spacious for two people. The apartment is close to the River Arts District, which prompted us to explore an area of the city that we hadn't seen before, and it's only a couple of miles from downtown. We enjoyed meeting Dana and her family, who were wonderfully hospitable. It would be a treat to stay there again the next time we're in Asheville!
We stayed a month and loved our time in Asheville. As we expected from our first communication with them, we found Dana and Nick to be helpful and welcoming. This home is in a great neighborhood. Perfect for walking with good parking across the street. It's close to the French Broad River, several parks, the River Arts District, West Asheville and the Haywood St restaurants, and all of downtown Asheville. The Blue Ridge and Smoky Mtns are only a short drive in every direction. The cozy arrangements and supportive owners make this a keeper for us!
I stayed here for a month. Looks just like the photos. private entrance, clean, comfortable, great bed, large TV, super wood floors, very quiet road. Easy walk to bus stops and to Haywood St to eateries, coffee rooms, massage, Yoga, churches, grocery store. Bus does not ride on Sundays. I felt safe at all times. Dana and Nick are very friendly and Dana is very helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this apartment.
Clean and great location, what more could you want? Walking distance to great restaurants, pubs and coffee in hip west Asheville. Would recommend.
We enjoyed our stay at this delightful apartment. Our host helped up get into the apartments and made sure we were comfortable. The bed is super comfortable. We appreciated the Wi-Fi access and the convenience to the west side of Asheville. We'll likely try to stay there again when visiting our daughter.
Close to everything. I love staying like a local when I travel and this was perfect. Hotels are soooo boring. Private entrance so it feels just like an apartment and the pictures were exactly how it looks in person. Super clean, quiet and warm since it was snowing outside. You can even watch the sunrise over the mountains...beautiful! 5 minutes to breakfast places, dinner places, grocery store and downtown. Totally recommend to anyone traveling to Asheville. Dana was great helping us with suggestions. Cheers Dana!
I recently came up from Atlanta and spent a few days in this charming spot and found the accommodation to be warm and welcoming. We were close to hiking trails and could also explore the local art scene, all within a 10 minute drive. Asheville is a great place for a weekend and I couldn't recommend this charming apartment more.
We are located minutes from downtown Asheville, the River Arts District, French Broad River, acclaimed restaurants, numerous music venues and year round festivals. Asheville is also home to historic sites and architecture such as; the Biltmore Estate and Winery and the Grove Park Inn.
