Santa Teresa House Rental Photos and Description
Big 7 Bedroom Costa Rica Villa, 3400 sq. ft, By The Beach, Centrally Located
Your group is big and adventurous. Together, you like to try new local dishes, surf the best breaks, zip-line through the jungle, and wake up to the sound of howler monkeys in the trees just outside your window.
Standard hotel accommodations or resorts with pre-planned activities may work for some groups, but yours would rather have flexible schedules to fill with your own excursions. The Jungle House is close to all the action, making this easy & convenient.
If this sounds like you, then The Jungle House in Santa Teresa Costa Rica, is your place. Located smack in the middle of a stunning trifecta of ocean, jungle, and the town’s main street, The Jungle House simultaneously offers easy access to local attractions and a sense of privacy and seclusion.
'A Fantastic Home Away From Home in Santa Teresa!' (Lyn B)...
At The Jungle House you'll find bold, rustic décor—including dining tables shaped like surfboards and hand crafted hardwood beams & furniture throughout—in a comfortable, relaxed setting with Zen-like peace.
At 3400 square feet, with seven bedrooms and space for up to 14 guests, we are one of the largest vacation rental houses right in the heart of town. And, one of the most affordable.
Unlike other area accommodations, there’s no hill to contend with when you want to get some sun or test the surf. Just take a relaxing 5 minute walk on a flat path. We’re so close to the Pacific, you can hear it crashing just behind the row of towering jungle trees at the back of the property.

If you’re unsure where to start with your adventures and activities, we can help. We’ll happily set you up with fishing trips, zip-line canopy tours, a kayak adventure, or a yoga instructor who will come out to the property and guide you through a series of poses on your private, open-air yoga studio. Or, learn to surf with a talented instructor. One of Costa Rica’s best breaks is in the Jungle House’s backyard!

After spending all day working up an appetite, you can either step right onto the main road for a variety of restaurants, or cross the street to the frutería for fresh veggies, fruits and eggs. Prepare a meal in the house’s large open kitchen, which is fully equipped with quality cookware and appliances.
There’s also a supermarket (Super Ronny #2), just a 3-minute walk, for everything else you might need. We can arrange delivery of delicious fresh fish to you as well, which you can grill on the outdoor barbecue while everyone cools off in the private pool.

Our family of 8 has just returned from a fantastic vacation in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica and thanks to Joe at The Jungle House, we had the perfect place to stay while we were there. The Jungle House is an amazing place, with plenty of space for very large groups. The kids loved the plunge pool and deck area, a perfect place to relax and watch the birds, monkeys and iguanas after a great day on the beach! Joe was the perfect host and always ready to help out with information and suggestions for local activities. Highly recommended!!!!

I love to travel, have visitors, and meet cool people from around the world.
My favorite travel destinations are tropical ones with beautiful beaches, and mountains to hike around in. To me there is nothing better than swimming in the ocean, running on the beach, and eating fresh fish & fruit.
I also like to visit big cities. In the U.S., my favorite ones are New York & San Francisco. I've been to Tokyo, Bangkok, Paris, Rome, and Rio de Janeiro. There are still a lot more mega cities on the list, like Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, Barcelona, Madrid, Milano, Berlin, and Shanghai.
I grew up in Columbus, Ohio & moved to Miami after college. Living there made me want to learn Spanish well.
I learned Spanish in Caracas, Venezuela in an exchange program at Centro Venezolano Americano. I taught English & learned Spanish in the school, and made many wonderful friends. Then I worked as a journalist at The Daily Journal, the English language newspaper of Venezuela. That was a great experience because I was the cultural reporter and wrote about the arts, theater, music, and dance scenes in Caracas. I also got to meet & interview most of the ambassadors stationed there, and write reports about their countries, and the activities of their embassies in Venezuela. I ended up living there for three years & having a fabulous time.
Then I moved to Maui to go to massage school and stayed 5.5 years having a good time. I worked as a massage therapist at a hotel on the beach and was a DJ at night. I'm really into funky music from across the globe. I got to DJ for many wonderful weddings in gorgeous Hawaiian settings. I also held down a great Friday night party at Jacques' in Paia for four years. That was a blast, and I got to meet cool music lovers from all over the world.
I'm now managing The Jungle House for my friend that owns it. My motto is explore the world, follow what fascinates you, and invite others in to share what you've learned. I'm Joe Gatto, estoy a la orden...
There is so much to do here. Obviously a surf trip to Santa Teresa Costa Rica will be epic! The surfing is world famous, and you can step right out our back door to awesome waves. We host yoga retreats, and there are great teachers around town too that can come to The Jungle House especially for your group. You can do a canopy tour and hike in Cabo Blanco National Park, rent ATVs for cruising around town & do tours through the jungle, go horseback riding, get a great sports massage on the premises, visit tide pools, go sea kayaking, or deep sea fishing. There are great restaurants in town and you can also buy fresh fish from the local fisherman and cook it at the Jungle House's BBQ.
Santa Teresa is such a beautiful, primordial place. Living here is so healthy; exercising outside, swimming, running on the beach daily is the best. I love eating fresh fruit & fish everyday. The people are very friendly & the international vibe keeps it interesting.
We hope to see you this season...
Imagine laying in a hammock in the garden, under the trees, birds singing, monkeys playing, iguanas scurrying. You're relaxing after a day of swimming in the ocean & hiking through Cabo Blanco Nature Preserve.
This evening you guys are going to BBQ fresh fish that got delivered to you from the local fishermen. Delicious fruits & vegetables came from the nearby markets, and you have a case of Pilsen in the fridge.
After dinner, you'll all walk down to the main street and have drinks in an outside bar, and befriend other travelers.
The next morning you can wake up, enjoy the fresh papaya-banana-lime smoothie that is calling your name, and go straight out to the Pacific Ocean to jump in and wake yourself up. You go for a run on the beach, do a sun salutation on the sand, go for another swim, and head back to The Jungle House for a delicious Costa Rican breakfast.
Today you and your friends will go on a canopy tour, cruising on ziplines above the jungle. You know this is something you'll never forget.
You have afternoon surf lessons, then a great massage to look forward to after that.
This is a typical day in Santa Teresa; the sky is the limit for what you can do here. I live here & fell in love with The Jungle House because of this healthy, active, relaxing, and reinvigorating lifestyle. I invite you to come down and experience it for yourself. You'll fall in love too...
