About Jim and Colleen Burden

The Burden family currently resides in Central, New Jersey where they live and work during the week. Owners Colleen and Jim attended post graduate school in Philly in the late 90's and fell in love with the Museum area. They purchased the condo with Colleen's brother in 2003 and rented it until 2010. In 2010, they repainted, updated, furnished, re-carpeted the bedroom, and upgraded many of the units features. Since then, it has been a home-away-from-home for them and their 2 small children using it mostly on weekends to attend city cultural events with the children. With so much to do in Philly, they have had no shortage of family adventures attending parades, Parkway events, the Zoo, Please Touch Museum, Franklin Institute, Franklin Square Park, International Bike Races, National Fund Raisers, amazing dinners, the Orchestra, Philly POPS, Broadway shows, and Old City tours. They are now opening this property for others to come and experience many of the great times they have and continue to have in Philly.

Great location, great view from this 8th-floor luxury condo

The condo came as advertised -- great view, great location. Our goal was to see the Barnes Museum and the condo was about two blocks away. Excellent restaurants nearby as well as Starbucks and Whole Foods. In addition to its proximity, the condo is within walking distance of several other major museums. We spent our non-Barnes time visiting family and we were within 15-minute drives of our destinations. The weather happened to be terrific and we also walked around Philadelphia's very vibrant Center City area. Much appreciated: the designated parking spot and the security in the parking garage and the building as well. Only hitch -- and a minor one at that -- no coffee "pods" remaining for the Keurig machine. Everything else and more available for our use. We would definitely recommend this property to friends/family.

Owner's Response: So glad to hear you enjoyed your stay, Mark! We have relayed your message about the Keurig K-Cups to our condo set-up and cleaning service. You are welcome back anytime! Jim and Colleen

Great Vacation!

Enjoyed our stay very much, condo was clean, comfortable and quiet, would book this one again. We found so many things to do in the area, and bringing two 17 year old boys with us, there was plenty to keep us busy. We purchased the City Pass tickets and found it a great bargain. So many places to explore and eat, never ran out of things to do.

Love Philadelphia

Can't say enough good things about this propery. The location is ideal, building secure, and condo clean and comfortable. It overlooks the beautiful Benjamin Franklin Parkway and is so close to many of the wonderful museums and restaurants. Add to that covered parking and this is one of the best deals in Philadelphia. Our favorite restaurant, King of Tandoor, is just around the corner on Callowhill Street.

Art Lovers Condo

5 of 5
Submitted: February 19, 2013 Stayed: February 2013
My husband and I enjoyed our long weekend at the Art Lovers Condo. One could not ask for a better location, literally upstairs from the Barnes and Rodin museums, Whole Foods, and some lovely restaurants. If it had not been so cold we would have walked the few blocks to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, but since the condo's parking lot was so convenient, we just drove over. The condo was spotless, had lovely linens, and a great living room. The LR furniture begged for lounging, reading and looking at the amazing view. This Condo is a perfect place to stay in Philly.
