The house, built on the foundations of a 1000 old year church, offers spacious, bright accommodation, with access at every level to the outdoors. It sits within a pretty walled garden of terraced lawns and mature trees. The main house includes a large comfortable family room with access to the garden through two sliding French windows, arching through to a vaulted dining room and spacious and well equipped kitchen.
This in turn leads on to a garden dining terrace which connects to the guest wing. On the ground level there is a modern laundry room and cloakroom with shower, which can be used for short stay guests. A graceful staircase leads to a library and sitting room with four french windows opening on to a large south facing terrace with views over gardens, vineyards and distant mountains. The master suite is on the second floor and comprises bedroom, dressing area, a splendid large bathroom with multi-jet shower and jacuzzi bath. French windows lead to a large private terrace overlooking the garden and swimming pool. This suite has a mobile air conditioning unit.
The bedrooms in the pigeoniere were designed to give flexible accommodation for a family and friends.. The top suite has two double divan beds and a comfortable 5ft sofa bed. The room has a high beam ceiling and en-suite bathroom. The spacious ground floor en suite, has a door leading to a private terrace. It has a (UK) king size divan bed, as well as a pair of comfortable folding bunk beds, doubling as a couch when not in use. Both suites have ceiling fans.
The house is equipped with wifi.
We are a London based family and have been associated with Correns for many years. We travel extensively on business or visiting extended family and the house in Correns is a favourite familiy meeting place. We have designed the house to accommodate flexible numbers of folk of different generations.

We fell in love with L'Eglise Vieille because of its location, it's views over the valley, vineyards and distant hills yet within walking distance of the medieval village of Correns. We recognised we could convert the property we found, with its long history and attractive location into a lovely holiday home. It works for us and our friends and visitors. The Vieille E'Glise gives easy access to the coastal towns of Nice and St Tropez and the many villages that give Provence its unique character. The area of the Gorge du Verdon is a 'must see' with the beautiful lakes and the spectacular mountain scenery of the Gorge. Walking, kayaking, fishing, sightseeing, wine tasting and eating out can be part of the daily routine, as can lounging by the pool or in one of the shady corners of a very pleasant garden. Very good (bio) local wines at reasonable prices add to the attraction as might the close proximity of our popular neighbours Mr Brad Pitt and Ms. Angelina Jolie.

The medieval village of Correns isd situated on the beautiful Argen River which offers all kinds of water sports including kyaking, fishing swimming, children's parks and pretty picnic spots. In addition it a well regarded rock climbinhg destination, and many young climbers come from all over Europe to test their abilities. During the summer months the population swells and the village is a very jolly and lively place with fetes, dances and musical festivals.The valley of Correns is home to some of the best vines in the area and was the 1st bio village in France, From a locational point of view, it is well placed for tripping to the coast and the glamerous town of Canne and St Tropez, though equally it is within striking distance of the dramatic Gorge du Verdun and the scenic lakes and mountain of the area.

There is a £75.00 pound cleaning charge at the end of your rental, which is deducted from your deposit. If required, our cleaner will work for you and payment should be made direct.
* Booking reservations must be accompanied by a non refundable payment of 10% of the total rental. NB This sum will be refunded to the renter when payment in full has been made.
* Payment in full for the rental period must be received and confirmed not later that 14 working days before the commencement of the rental.
Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency (GBP) unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.
