27m² Beautiful 1-Bedroom Hideaway in Montmartre

Situated on the first floor in a 'Montmartois' building, French Kiss is a romantic and cozy hideaway located on in a cobble-stoned passage. The name of the apartment was inspired by Doisneau's 'Le Baiser de L'Hôtel de Ville', which you find prominently featured in the living room. Never was a more romantic image of Paris taken by one of the world's most renowned photographers. Other images of Paris that have circled the world are featured throughout the apartment. The apartment has been tastefully decorated to give you a feeling of calm and tranquillity even in the busy city of lights. The rooms overlook a small inner courtyard and large windows allow in plenty of natural light.

Living room, bedroom and bathroom are all off the entrance hall with the living room having its own door in case you might need to make use of the sofa bed for a third guest. You will admire the exposed original oak beams in the hall which is a trademark of some of the older buildings in Paris.

Apartment Location: The apartment is located in a romantic cobbled alleyway in arty Montmarte, which was immortalized by the artist Maurice Utrillo, and also appeared in the film 'Amelie'. Stairs on the street lead you to the Sacre Coeur cathedral, where you have one of the best views of Paris. The nearby Rue Poteau also has a local French market where you can buy fresh food products, as well as many specialty shops where you can buy everything from exotic teas and African & Asian foods, to fresh cheese and meat or just a slice of pizza. More exotic food finds can be purchased at the Chateau Rouge market (about 5 minutes away), Paris' most famous African market.

The area is very well connected in terms of transportation. Our metro stations are Chateau Rouge, Lamarck-Caulaincourt or Jules Joffrin, all within 5-10 minutes.

Bus 85 is a great bus route to use to get to the Luxembourg gardens, St Michel and Notre Dame. Line 80 just around the corner will get you all the way to the Eiffel Tower and Porte de Versailles (for the Parc des Expositions). Metro line 12 connects you to Place de la Concord where you can take a leisurely stroll to the Jardin de Tuileries to arrive at the Louvre, the Musée d'Orsay, and to the Solferino station where you can connect to the RER C taking your to Versailles. Line 4 at Chateau Rouge - though at times a rather busy line will whisk you to St Michel, Gare du Nord and Chatelet.

The apartment's placement also makes getting to the Sacre Coeur quick and easy. You are less than 2 minutes walk away (if you take the stairs in our street), from one of Paris' breathtaking monuments

My daughter and I stayed at the French Kiss apartment from April 7th thru April 14th and had a wonderful trip. The apartment was located in Montmarte which was the perfect location with easy access to public transportation and shopping.

James was a great help and was there to meet us once we arrived. They provided information for everything and a computer was also available. We were given a very nice "welcome" basket also.

Great place to stay, great place to visit and I highly recommend this apartment as all the amenities were provided and it was vert comfortable

French Kiss in Paris is well located and well appointed. Not only were all of the amenities as described but there were much appreciated extras. There were guide books and walking tour maps available as well as metro maps and bus routes. There was a DVD player and DVDS for entertainment.The computer had a file with a list of nearby stores and restaurants complete with descriptions of the restaurants. They also included the phone number of an English speaking cab company.They even included a canvas bag so one felt like a Parisian shopping in the local grocery store. We also got invited to a free wine and cheese class in a cooking school just around the corner. The staff was prompt in responding to all of our questions/concerns. I would definitely recommend French Kiss.

French Kiss apartment is a wonderful location in Montemarte with easy access to bus, metro and 'hop on hop off' bus stops. All amenities were available and the apartment was very clean, well maintained and perfect for the 2 of us. We loved the idea of feeling like we were living in Paris rather than just staying in a hotel room.

We stayed at French Kiss for 6 nights. Being at the base of Sacre Couer meant we could spend the end of each day at Sacre Couer overlooking the whole of Paris, see the lights of Eiffel Tower and walk an area full of bars, restaurants etc.
The flat itself is clean and functional. We didn't need more. We really enjoyed our stay.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway
