Million dollar view from our Oceanfront Condo!
Watch dolphins and whales swim by from the lanai... The sunsets are spectacular!! Relax or swim in the oceanfront pool... or barbecue and enjoy a mai tai! PLEASE WATCH OUR VIDEO!! You'll SEE and HEAR the waves which makes this location so special!
This AIR CONDITIONED condo is close enough that you can walk to town. There's a Farmers Market right across the street where you can buy fresh fruit and have banana pancakes for breakfast!
Small 12-unit complex... like your own private boutique complex .... Very quiet except for the ocean waves and lull you to sleep at night!
Let me excite your imagination....When you open the front door and look toward the living room, all you see is ocean. You'll hear the waves crashing. It's incredible! Condo is fully equipped with everything you need, including beach gear. We have really upgraded the condo with new travertine floors and granite counter tops that are beautiful!! New furniture and paint as of Sept. 2012. We also have a new PosturePedic king-size mattress that is very comfy!
We have TV and cable in both living room and bedroom for your comfort. Hawaiian CD's await you. Fast WIFI internet for all you geeks! There is a very nice washer and dryer and is always available and no need to wait in line.
FREE PARKING in front and security gate at the entrance. So, let us know if you have any other questions... it's always first come first served!
Aloha! Thank you so much for the wonderful condo! We had a great relaxing stay. Hope to come soon again! Ready to move here. Relax, serene and lowkey. Thanx!
Great condo! Everything was wonderful! Love Hawaii! Manager Brian was very helpful!
Enjoyed our time here very much. The view is unbelievable as well as the gorgeous sunsets. I hope to be back at #204 again soon!
Million dollar view – it has it all!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. We had a wonderful time at the condo and the view and atmosphere was spectacular. Very relaxing and enjoyable thanks to the neighbours.
If you are looking for an affordable, laid back experience with truly breathtaking views, this is your place. If you want a luxurious and spotless vacation home, it isn't. The unit is tired inside and, with only one window unit air conditioner in the living room, the back bedroom gets VERY hot. The furnishings are okay, and the tiled floor allowed things to be cleaned well. But, the appliances are quite worn, and the fittings throughout are showing their age. However, the outside lanai enjoys one of the best views in this 12-unit complex. And, the 55+ clientele in the few other units largely keep to themselves. The pool deck is the best part, and affords peaceful sunning, soaking, and gazing. No need to take a whale watching trip in the early spring here. Just look out on the water and you'll soon see the splashing and breeching.
Unless you are a good walker, or want to spring for a taxi, you'll want a rental car. The Ali'i Marketplace across the street is very handy for well-priced gifts and some food including TJs BBQ. The drive to downtown only takes a few minutes; same with the drive to a very nice and large Safeway store.
In the spring, I tried to rent this unit and one other for Ironman. The manager gave me the runaround for a week, then finally said it was rented already.
Here it is September and it still isn't rented.
If I were the owner, I'd find another management company.
I used to live on the Big Island long ago and was finally taking my "boys" to introduce them to the islands special beauty. Wanting to show them everything, we stayed at the Volcano, up north in Kohala and in Kona. Being an ocean girl who can stare at, breath in, listen to the ocean 24/7, this condo is FANTASTIC. Sitting oceanfront, you see, smell and hear the pacific waves in their constant ebb and flow, the transitional colors and variations of blue looking west along with perfect Hawaiian sunsets, while sitting in the condo, on the lanai or by the pool at the oceans edge… simply awesome! The location is great, close to everything that the Kona environs have to offer; Old Kailua town, beautiful snorkeling spots (especially the natural spring fed ocean waters of Kahalu'u), the boat harbors and their tours for kona coast snorkeling, dolphin/whale watching or diving, coffee plantations on the slopes of 8,000 foot plus Mt. Hualalia and the drive south to Honaunau/Pu'uhonua o Honaunau City of Refuge, Kealakekua, South Point, Black Sand Beach of Punalu'u and of course the Volcano/National Park. The whole condo unit is very quiet, we only saw maybe 2 other folks in different units and that was rare during our 6 days. The condo unit was built in 1972, so is a little dated, but the grounds are nice and things are kept up. This unit is nice (individual owners). August can be hotter and it does have a/c, although it is a little old school and wired with an extension cord and cut out 1 day tripping the fuse, so had to call the onsite manager to locate the fusebox. Also the bedroom did get hot on our stay in August and the a/c doesn't circulate well back there, but I slept on the couch so I could hear the surf all night. We are just 3 people, 2 adults and an 11 year old and the size was fine for us, but I imagine it would be tight for 4 people. Also, the wifi wouldn't work for us, very low bars and then would cut out completely, so I relied on my phones 3G network when I needed internet. That said, we would DEFINITELY stay at Kona Riviera again and already have recommended it to others. Already looking forward to coming back in the future. :-)
