My girlfriends and I are all academics who needed to get some writing done over our spring break, so we went here for a "writing retreat" in March. The place is roomy, comfortable and modern, with gorgeous views and all the amenities one could want. The kitchen is amazingly well-equipped for a rental property! The house gave us a perfect work space during the day, and a fun relaxation space at night--sitting in the hot tub under the stars at the end of each day was especially rewarding. Mary was extremely helpful and responsive in dealing with one brief problem that came up around the hot water, ensuring that we were able to fully enjoy our time at the house with minimal interruption.

Recommended for: Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Romantic Getaway

Perfect Winter Getaway

We stayed at the 'Fishdo' home in January, so it was snowy and cold. The cabin was large and cozy all at the same time. The views of Bear Lake were amazing, and the hot tub was just what we needed in the cold weather. The pictures did not do the cabin justice. It was very warm and inviting with many personal touches. If we stay in Bear Lake again this is the only place we will stay!!! Thanks Mary for the great get-away:)

Our First Family Thanksgiving

This cabin is all about the view. Overlooking Bear Lake with large panoramic windows, decks and a hot tub, this place was the perfect location for our family Thanksgiving weekend. There were enough rooms for all to sleep in private. We were entertained by numerous artist on vinyl throughout the weekend. A great assortment of DVDs and board games were available. Of course we didn’t come to Bear Lake for TV, so it was nice there was a lot of property around this cabin to hike and explore. We enjoyed overlooking Bear Lake from the mountain setting. It’s just a short drive from the cabin down to the lake to enjoy all that Bear Lake has to offer; karting, gift shops, pizza, golfing, and a shooting range. If you’ve never been to Bear Lake, just beware they don't have a large grocery store and a lot of stores are closed on Sundays. Buy your food on the way to Bear Lake for your best selection. The Idaho border is just a few miles from this cabin, where the selection of beer, wine and libation is abundant. I highly recommend renting this spectacular cabin for corporate retreats, couple getaways and serene weekends away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It’s large and elegant, yet peaceful, scenic and beautiful.

You are absolutely right - it is definitely best to grocery shop in Logan before coming through to Garden City.

Next time you are up, try Cooper's Sports Bar at Bear Lake West. Its a great place to get a drink, eats and listen to live music.

A Magical Experience

This Lake Home is all it states and more. The home is beautiful, with lots of space. It has 4 decks (pretty much the whole front of the house - top and bottom floors) with breathtaking views of Bear Lake and just a few miles and minutes away from small towns and lake resorts where you can launch boats, swim, rent wave runners, etc.

We went to Bear Lake for a family reunion who were all camping on the other side of the lake. My brother-in-law didn't want to go and wasn't excited. I was able to obtain the use of this home and it changed my family's experience. All the bedrooms (4+) were extremely nice with comfortable beds and good closet space. The kitchen is very well laid and spacious and a fun place to cook - it has everything you need to make a gourmet meal. We really liked it being open with the dining and living areas, and used the large table for game nights too.

I would highly recommend this home as a great place to stay for a family get-together, romantic getaway, girl friend weekend or just friends getting together to play on the lake. (I would not suggest this home as a hard partying place). the back lawn would be good for horse shoes (bring your own poles and shoes).

As we were leaving, my brother-in-law said "this was a magical experience, can we come back to this home again next year". The rest of my family concurred. It truly was a wonderful vacation.

I know EXACTLY what it is like to be at a large family reunion and stuck in the 'Family' cabin, sleeping on floors in blankets & bags, sharing bathrooms with 30 other family members with their little kids - the noise - the chaos!!! Oh I love em -but I want a place the adults can get away to at the end of the day!

Spectacular! Gorgeous! Perfect Week!

What a gorgeous home, in a breathtaking setting!!! Bear Lake is one of my very favorite places to visit. I cannot begin to tell you how beautiful the area, as well as the home itself, are. It was absolutely the perfect getaway!
I love the layout of the home. There is plenty of room, from the great room upstairs to the family room downstairs; from the decks, to the patio you are never tripping over each other. The kitchen is fully stocked with top of the line appliances. This is an entertainers dream! It has all the room you need and want. I enjoyed having such a nice place to cook so that I didn’t have to eat out, except for the milkshakes of course. The homes décor is in a word, “amazing”! Every room is thoughtfully laid out and decorated very stylish. It is obvious to see that the owners are world travelers. The trinkets and art work are such a delight to experience. Thank you for sharing your travels with me through the beauty of your furnishings. Having a laundry room is also a bonus to keep towels and clothes clean. I love the hot tub off the deck of the master, with the incredible view, you couldn’t help but relax. There is so much to experience and enjoy that it was hard to leave the house to do it. This is not only a home to visit where you can get out and “play” but one where you can get the much needed “R & R” everyone needs.
This home is wonderful. I love the location, and appreciate all the attention to detail and thoughtfulness to ensure I had an amazing week with my family. From the beautiful sunrises over the lake to the roasting of marshmallows over the fire pit; from the deer and turkeys just outside the house to the games around the kitchen table; this was a week I will never forget! I will definitely return to this beautiful home. I recommend this home wholeheartedly to everyone interested in a getaway to Bear Lake.
