|Minimum Stay||2 - 3 nights|
Beautiful open floor plan and an abundance of natural light. Amazing views from every room. This nearly 4000 sq ft home is perfect for couples, professionals, and adults seeking a year round peaceful retreat.
Parents please be advised that this is not a 'kid-friendly' property. Lots of breakables, hot tub, fitness equipment, brand new flooring etc. Families with toddlers and young children will definitely be happier at a more 'rough-and-tumble' property. This house is designed to be a tranquil and serene getaway for grown-ups. Please don't get us wrong...We love kids, (and pets too for that matter), but there are literally hundreds of vacation properties at Bear Lake that cater to large families with children. We have tried to create a more peaceful & sophisticated alternative.
Kitchen: couples who love to cook will delight in our fully equipped kitchen. A huge granite island offers plenty of prep and serving/gathering space.
Great room: the kitchen opens up to the great room. Over sized leather sofas, hardwood flooring, wall to wall windows, artwork and eclectic trinkets gathered from travels abroad surround you. The perfect place to gather and talk or listen to music. There is an extensive collection of vinyl records for you to peruse and listen to.
Master bedroom: the master bedroom is very large with a wall of windows on both sides. It has a king size bed, spacious master bath, and private deck with hot tub. A rear deck at the back of the master suite also has an outdoor shower (seasonal).
Guest room: 1st floor guest room with king bed and access to 1st floor bath
Laundry: stacked w/d upstairs.
Downstairs: guest room with king bed, Guest Room with Queen Bed, bathroom, TV room, fitness room, music room, futon, and sectional sofa.
Outside: expansive decks, patios and outdoor seating areas, Fire Pit. Seasonal hot tub off of master bedroom deck.
**PARDON OUR MESS, SPRING - SUMMER 2013, LANDSCAPING IS UNDERWAY AT THE PROPERTY**
Winter access: Year round - our road is plowed but this is Bear Lake, even plowed roads are steep and icy so a 4-wheel drive vehicle, chains and sense of adventure/humor is recommended :-)
** overflow parking of RVs, ATVs, Trailers & Snowmobiles is located at the entrance to neighborhood adjacent to the garbage collection point (aka Dumpsters).
We are a military family who has lived all over the world. We stumbled upon Bear Lake in 2002 and fell in love with the area. We purchased our little cabin and over time upgraded and added to the original 1010 sq ft structure. It has become the gathering place for us, our diverse friends, and for photos, trinkets and silly treasures we found from travels all over the world. Everything in it has a story.
No matter where we were sent or how far away from family & country, we knew our home at Bear Lake was waiting for us.
David Bolduc purchased this house in 2002
From the moment we walked into the living room and took in the spectacular view of the lake and mountains, we fell in love.
Every morning we wake up to see the sunrise over the mountains - all of our friends do it too - it has become a unique and meaningful tradition - so much so that friends and guests have begun sharing pics of their sunrises enjoyed during their stay.
With a rainy, cold and windy weekend at Bear Lake we still had an amazing time; 100% because of this Property! This is the ultimate stay for a modern and comfortable experience. All the rooms were great, especially the master. The balcony was great for watching the storms roll through and the kitchen was perfect. We even put together our own rock band in the lower floor. Definitely recommend this property
Our Family had a wonderful time at the Fishdo. All 3 of us totally enjoyed the house. Great view to the lake. Incredible Sunrises. Owner was great, very easy to work with. Thanks for letting us stay in your beautiful home.
Wir hatten eine wunderschoene Zeit hier am Bear Lake. Das Haus bietet alle Annehmlichkeiten. Die Sonnenaufgänge und der Blick zum See sind traumhaft.
Living in Florida for the past several years, we missed the mountains and snow. FISHDO provided that and way more! The views of the lake are awesome. The cabin feels like home, not a vacation rental. We enjoyed family time every night listening to LP's on the record player and playing games from the huge selection available downstairs. We enjoyed snowmobiling, skiing and sledding all nearby. The kitchen is so well equipped we ended up eating in instead of going out most nights. We had dinner one night at Cafe Sabor and brunch another day at the Kerasmah Restaurant (inside the Inn at Snow Meadows) both of which we highly recommend. Will definitely return. Thank you Dave!
We took a few of our agents to FishDo for a winter retreat. What a perfect weekend! The cabin had everything we could have asked for and more. I adored the fact that there isn't a TV in the family room but a record player instead. It helped us focus on building relationships and really relax. We loved every minute and can't wait to get back!
We had a great time with our family at this terrific place. Our youngest child is 16 so we enjoyed all of the amenities available. We especially enjoyed the music selections and options. We enjoy music and having a classic collection of vinyl was a major plus. My sons also really enjoyed making their own music in the music studio downstairs.
Thanks for providing great memories for our family. We are already talking about returning. Would love to visit again.
Great place for adults or families with older children. Plenty of space to get together and enjoy games, dinners, and conversation.
FISHDO has absolutely everything you would ever need for a getaway cabin. The interior is nicely appointed with beautiful artwork, high quality furnishings and a gourmet kitchen. Compared to other places we've stayed, FISHDO actually feels more like an upscale home than a nondescript rental. In addition to an outstanding view of Bear Lake, there are more games, books, movies and vinyl LPs (!!!) than you could ever exhaust during a vacation. In addition to all of the amenities, Dave is a really nice guy and goes out of his way to keep in touch and make sure that you have everything you need. Highest recommendations!
