I have been vacationing on Kauai my whole life. It is been a life long dream to own a 2nd home on the north shore. I plan on eventually spending half the year here after I get my youngest son off to college.
The north shore of Kauai has the most beautiful beaches in the world. Many of them are remote and many times we are the only people on them. The surfing and snorkeling here is awesome and hiking the Kalalau Trail is absolutely breath taking! The atmosphere is that of old Hawaii. We are delighted to be able to share this experience with our guests.
Bryan & LoriWhat a place! My boys loved the view of the pool and beach babes! Went snorkeling in Tunnels. That is a must do. Becky loved the shops in Hanalei. We’ll be back!Rob & Becky Dieter, Evergreen, Colorado
Thank you Brian for a wonderful winter stay in your awesome townhouse. I really don't want to write this as we don't want other people knowing about your great townhouse. The only things we could say was that you need an extra chair or couch in the living room and new towels for the new season. When you had 5 or 6 people there wasn't enough sitting area in the living room. The bedrooms are more than adequate, the beds are so comfortable. The pool area and hot tub were great after a day of hiking. We met some really great people in the pool area. We enjoyed our walks in the immediate area and the other hikes around the island. In January and February the wave were really high so a lot of the beaches were for watching only. We had really good weather with hardly any rain. However we have heard that those two months can be very rainy. There are many grocery stores in the area and one you can walk to. If you have a Costco card that is your. Eat bet for stocking up before driving onto Princeville. If you happen to rent this townhouse you will not be disappointed.
This is a beautiful duplex in a quiet and protected Princeville setting. The house was immaculate, well stocked with household items, and nicely furnished. Each bedroom had a room air conditioner. Each room had a ceiling fan. We were able to stay cool and comfortable throughout our stay. The home is walking distance to a grocery store and a 10 minute drive to Hanalei Bay. While the home does not have views, a 3 minute walk in any direction gives you beautiful views of the mountains. It's an easy walk to beaches, the St. Regis, and beautiful views of the bay. I highly recommend this home. The pool is right across from the home, so families with children have quick and easy access to a swim.
This was our first time using VRBO and it was an excellent experience. Initially, during the rental process we ran into a potential problem when a hacker tried to gather our private info by sending us an email offering 20% off if we provided certain info. Fortunately for us, it sounded too good to be true so I called VRBO and they handled the problem. The Email came from someone sounding like they were legit by their title but I thought it odd that I would get a discount offer after I had set my payment schedule. I am writing about this here to tell people to be wary. As with anything on the web there is potential for being scammed.
VRBO and Bryan, the condo owner, were very helpful and clearly concerned about the hacker. My info was secure within their system, it was some how through the emails that the breach occurred and no sensitive info was transmitted there. It was a fishing scam.
All in all, this experience would not deter me from using VRBO again. The condo was wonderful and Bryan spoke with me on several occasions to answer my questions, provide great recommendations about what to do, where to go and places to eat. Thanks for a wonderful vacation. Your condo is
This a beautiful complex and truly a luxury townhouse. It is very quiet and great location across from the pool and hot tub. You can walk to the St. Regis and then down to the beach or drive to Hanalei or we preferred Annini beach about 5-10 min. drive. Saw four turtles and lots of fish. The house is well equipped with everything you need, including snorkel equip, chairs, boogie boards, pails and toys for kids and coolers. The beds are so comfy and you never hear anyone in the next room. Also, has big screen HD TV with lots of HD channels and another one downstairs. Wi-fi works great. Kitchen is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Property Manager, Mark is very helpful and always willing to talk.
I would definitely recommend and hope to come back again.
Our group included three couples and we could not have found a better place to stay than this villa. Each couple had their own comfortable room and bathroom. The rooms are very comfortable; I haven't slept on a bed this comfortable in any hotel I have ever stayed in and the linens were of quality and cleanliness. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the amenities you could possible need (ex tupperwares were really convenient for sandwiches, watermelon, etc for the beach). Refrigerator has an ice-dispenser which was great for keeping our drinks cold for the day.
We felt very secure with location of the villa. It is found in a gated community which is very well maintained with a few dozen villas, where it is very quiet. At any given time, of the 60 villas in the community, there are never more than 5 permanent residents so there is very little activity, which means that if you go to the community hot tub, chances are there will be no one or very few people. There is an access road behind the villa that cars frequently employ during the day to exit Princeville but there is a gate just down the road that closes at 9pm so it gets very quiet at night time. Just across the villa is the shared pool and jacuzzi. We had burgers on the bbq there and ate by the pool on a comfortable patio set. The villa is well equipped with 5 beach chairs, plenty of beach towels, 3 body boards, 1 skim board, and a couple snorkelling sets. The snorkelling gear could use a little upgrade but you can bring your own or buy some there.
I highly recommend staying in Princeville over other spots on the island. The location is ideal. All the best beaches with spectacular views are on the north of the island. We checked out Hanalei bay, Tunnels, Haena, Ke'e in the north - all great beaches. Hanalei bay is great if you want to try surfing or paddle boarding. Tunnels and Ke'e both had beautiful backdrops with great snorkeling. We also did the hike along the Napali coast, Kalalau trail, then up the waterfalls - a MUST do! It's 8 mile round trip - took us 5hr with 1hr stop at Hanakapiai beach; we are quite fit so give yourself an extra hour. Beaches in the south are a little over-hyped imo. We did Poipu which was OK - wouldn't name in the best beach in Hawaii by any stretch. We also went to Polihale on the west side - Gorgeous! But we warned - you need a 4x4 for the last 5 miles; we took a chance anyways and it was fine.
Thank you for sharing your villa!!
We loved our experience. The house was clean, nicely decorated, spacious, and included everything we needed. Our bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and bbq nearby.
